Pros: Great headset that puts out great sound, when it works.
Cons: Broke a week after I bought it. Audio in the left ear cuff started cutting out. Steelseries tech support sent me a second unit that took 2 weeks (because I had to ship mine back to them before they'd ship a new one to me) to get shipped to me and it broke in the same way. Finally, after having 2 of them break within a couple of weeks of getting them I wanted my money back, but couldn't get a refund because I was "over the 30 day time limit for a refund". I was only ov...
Cons: Same as the rest of the reviews, my right earphone cuts out and have to replace the cable or headset, I think i'm on my 4th headset, and they are sending me a cable because the right earphone is cutting out again....
Cons: It broke after less than an hour of use. I put it on, played 1 game of starcraft 2. My phone rang. I got up to answer it, and came back to my desk, put the headset on, and the left ear was dead. I took it off, made sure all the connections were made, and put it back on, and the right ear was now also dead. I didn't drop it. I didn't even have it long enough to get it dirty. It's a brand new piece of junk.
Summary: I'm pretty sure this problem has something to do with the headsets removable headphone wire that connects to the headset. I don't know, but all I can say is to avoid SteelSeries headsets, I'm pretty sure if I got a 3rd pair, the same problem would occur.
Pros: Good sound quality
Cons: This headset would have been great if the speakers didn't have problems. I've had this headset for a year, after almost 6 months, the left speaker blew out. It started to act up when it would cut from time to time when listening to something. I RMA'd it and received a brand new headset, a lot of good that did -- after 3 months, the same problem came up. The left speaker is cutting out and hasn't blown out yet as of writing this review, but it's just a matter of time.
Pros: It's a very nice headset...when it wants to work. (See Below). Very good sound and a pretty good microphone.
Cons: About a week after I got the headset the left ear would flicker on whether it wanted to play sound or not. So I exchanged it for a new one. The new one after a few weeks as well, had the same problem. It just goes to show they didn't test out the headset very well at all. I'm pretty sure it's the part that twists to fit your head that is causing the problems, but for two in a row to have that problem it means there's something wrong with the design or manufacturing, o...
Summary: Pros - Headset feels great on the head and has great sound Con - Beeping sound though MIC. was able to find a work around that actually worked in Windows 7, but in 8 and 8.1 there is no fix and Siberia is doing nothing to help. Final - If you are looking for a great sounding, great feeling headset this is it. But if you plan to talk to people on Skype, TeamSpeak, Ventrillo etc. Forget it.
