Summary: The microphone built into my computer sounds way better than the one on the headset. I basically use them as headphones. The design is nice, and they're comfortable. If you want gaming headphones they're great. If you actually need to use the built in mic though, look for something better.
Summary: My title says it all. I'm honestly kind of glad they broke, since now I can invest in a better quality headset. If you do decide to purchase these, understand they this headset has 0 bass; it's mainly for FPS games. For some odd reason, the "sound card" causes a high pitched ringing sound that others can hear on skype/vent/mumble/etc, but you won't be able to hear it.
Summary: If you want to be buying another set of headphones in 6 months then these are for you. Save the box they came in, it's the only thing they spent any money on, & you will need it for returning them. Cheap junk with no thought given to product longevity. Non replaceable, ill fitting foam earpieces that might last 6 months. Size adjustment slider so loose, it will be adjusting itself in less than 3.
Summary: My Turtle Beach headset broke after 4 years of regular use and I decided to look around and see what else was out there. My research brought me to this SteelSeries headset. It looked to be what I wanted/needed in a headset. After five months of use I am sadly unimpressed. Pros: *Comfortable -- the headset is quite comfortable for extended gaming sessions *Braided cable -- nice touch and keeps the cable from getting tangled *Retractable mic -- probably my favorite feature...
Summary: I've gone through 2 pairs of these, each lasted 2 or 3 years. The first pair broke when I dropped it from about 4 feet - the joints are weak. The second pair just stopped playing audio altogether. If I wiggle the connection a bunch I can get them to work, but not consistently. Overall though, this is still a great headset. Comfortable, easily adjustable size, quality mic, high quality sound. Used for music and gaming with relatively high use.
Summary: Pros: -great feel -Great quality -Sturdy build -extra portable -cups around your ears -ear pads are cloth not leather (breathable) -top head rest is soft leather around 1 inch thick -fully adjustable to fit all heads -Cables covered with cloth -tangle free Cons: -no noise cancellation (no biggie) -over the head hair due -mic runs away from you -mic tip flips around (white side faces you black side faces away) Overview: THESE ARE GREAT HEADPHONES!
Summary: Wish I had read the reviews here before purchasing. Pros: + good sound + comfortable + great mic Cons: - not designed to last more than a few months - will induce rage upon inevitable loose connection cutting sound to right ear - regret from purchasing these headphones - loss of brand confidence and goodwill I'm probably not in the best mood to review this at the moment, but all of the other reviews are spot on: comfortable, good quality sound, the mic is great, etc.
