Summary: I've owned 2 different Medusa 5.1's. My first set had a detachable microphone that broke and the bass driver went bad. After ~2 years of very frequent use I bought a new NX 5.1. That set lasted around a year before the bass driver failed. It's a shame that replacement parts aren't available. It's trivial to replace a blown speaker. I won't be buying another set.

Summary: Its an alright headset, im a music producer however and after time this headset can give you a headache, its ok for 4 hours or so but anymore and i would suggest a better headset, have problems with friends hearing what i can hear in the headset too...
Summary: Great sound, the volume feature works fine. However the microphone is faulty. Low sound quality and sounds like we are in the other side of the room speaking on it. Also the controler mute-active may fail. So, if you want to ear, its ok. For online play or web chat, look for another one.
This product has a 2 year warranty, not 1 dear Amazon!

Summary: The product is good. It fulfills its purpose and is good value for money but with 1 year and 10 months use it broke down due to faulty wiring. BUT PLEASE NOTE. The Product has a 2 year guarantee with the manufacturer something Amazon does not honor. I have argued with Amazon about this and frankly gave up because of the ignorance of their representative not knowing the Sales of Goods Act.
Comfortable and bassy, but mediocre audio quality.

Summary: Got this for a friend for gaming, he likes it. But for him its more about the amount of bass than the overall quality of the sound. If you are like that, or just not very picky or serious about audio, these headphones are good, and I can recommend them to you. They are comfortable (if a bit hot), and have plenty of bass, but the audio quality is what I would call average or mediocre, I am just more of an audio purist.
The quality of the product is great but it degrades due to the wires in the cable.

Summary: This is a great headset and am still using it, but I have had the same fault twice since I bought it in February 2012. Like other's I have had a speaker (left) fail, for me it's twice, On reading the other reviews and my own experience I can say the problem is the cable design used for the headset can be fragile.
Summary: Hi, I bought this product recently (Oct 2013) and received the product on time. The headphone is light and looks robust. The audio quality is good as I tested by listening to Paul Oakenfold's Essential Mix ... :) There are two problems: 1. The cover over the ears is made of soft cloth which can catch dirt easily ... so avoid leaving it on your desk. 2. When playing loud the voice can be heard by others which is not expected from a headphone.
Summary: No driver disc, easy find download for Windows 8 on website tho'. Had to install several times before it would show at Start-up. A bit fiddly to set up with the sound to match my hearing.spent more than an hour or two......passable now, a bit better than stereo but I would not rave about it, I can't seem to set the rear sound to appear to come from behind, sounds more side than rear The head band does seem a bit tight, average use 4/6 hours, probably suited to a smaller,...
Less range than my trusty Trust 5.1 ye olde headphones

Summary: The surround sound is as good as my 5.1 Trust headphones which I have had for years, i.e. not that good. The Roccat Kave 5.1 are better, but they sound terrible overall The dynamic range is less as it compromises the higher frequency for more rumble (which has a separate toggle) even when toggled off.
