Summary: I've owned 2 different Medusa 5.1's. My first set had a detachable microphone that broke and the bass driver went bad. After ~2 years of very frequent use I bought a new NX 5.1. That set lasted around a year before the bass driver failed. It's a shame that replacement parts aren't available. It's trivial to replace a blown speaker. I won't be buying another set.
Summary: Pros: Sounds amazing, headband is good quality does not break mechanically, highly configurable Cons: electrically the build quality is naff and little over a month and i had a loose connection in my rear left (between in line remote and headset) if someone were to rebuild this product with real cables and put proper cable grips around the weak spots this product would be sensational however doesn't matter how good the sound is, if it does not reach the speakers now does...
Summary: Hi, I bought this product recently (Oct 2013) and received the product on time. The headphone is light and looks robust. The audio quality is good as I tested by listening to Paul Oakenfold's Essential Mix ... :) There are two problems: 1. The cover over the ears is made of soft cloth which can catch dirt easily ... so avoid leaving it on your desk. 2. When playing loud the voice can be heard by others which is not expected from a headphone.
Summary: No driver disc, easy find download for Windows 8 on website tho'. Had to install several times before it would show at Start-up. A bit fiddly to set up with the sound to match my hearing.spent more than an hour or two......passable now, a bit better than stereo but I would not rave about it, I can't seem to set the rear sound to appear to come from behind, sounds more side than rear The head band does seem a bit tight, average use 4/6 hours, probably suited to a smaller,...
Summary: You can't really tell the difference between things in front of you and things behind you, this product did not deliver what I expected and the audio quality was only satisfactory. I purchased these specifically to help with games where I needed to tell when things are behind me - and with these I couldn't and they were quite expensive too. Perhaps it's just a limitation of headset 5.1 versus the real thing, I'll be buying 5.1 speakers instead soon!
Less range than my trusty Trust 5.1 ye olde headphones

Summary: The surround sound is as good as my 5.1 Trust headphones which I have had for years, i.e. not that good. The Roccat Kave 5.1 are better, but they sound terrible overall The dynamic range is less as it compromises the higher frequency for more rumble (which has a separate toggle) even when toggled off.
Summary: Das Medus NX macht eigentlich einen soliden Eindruck.
