For example I used to use a cheaper pair of JVC around £15 at the time and to me the sound quality is considerably better across

Mr. H. Howdle, Amazon

  • Summary: The price for these headphones is a complete sham personally. Sure they produce an okay some what neutral sound but they cannot play anything besides mid-tones properly. They crackle at some lower frequencies and they sound pale on higher frequencies. For example I used to use a cheaper pair of JVC around £15 at the time and to me the sound quality is considerably better across the board.

Great for falling asleep in.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
1 November 2014
  • Summary: The PL50 headphones have one outstanding feature that I value above all others. They are small and the back of the body of the driver unit is flat. If you enjoy going to sleep listening to music or podcasts, and you lie on your side, these headphones don't put pressure on your ear causing discomfort. They are robust too so will put up with being pulled around when you do finally fall asleep.

Great headphones, terrible tips.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
14 September 2014
  • Summary: These are the best in-ear headphones I've owned, the supplied tips are rubbish though. I replaced them with Comply T-100 tips and they're amazing (as long as you get the right size). Great clarity and well-defined bass without it being overpowering.

Worth every penny

Irish guy, Amazon
30 May 2014
  • Summary: Not cheap as earphones go, but cheap as high end earphones go. I use these every day on the train. They block out all the noise, meaning I can listen to music / movies at a low volume. Really crisp sound. Not too much bass. Lost my first pair (which went through the washing machine and still worked) and re-bought. Keep your ears really clean though. Seriously. They go right into your ear (like ear plugs).

Great set of buds!

Mr. Rishpal S. Matharoo, Amazon
13 March 2014
  • Summary: I don't usually consider myself the hardcore audiophile, however recent headphone purchases gave had me researching into fields of audio technology I haven't been familiar with in the past. First and foremost - I'm a music producer, so the earphones I pick are always extremely important to give me an accurate representation into what I've made, when on the go.

Not worth the money

Jaspal Singh, Amazon

  • Summary: Terrible build quality for that price. Built in China crap. Sound quality from the reviews is a lie.

  • Summary: Certain wines suit certain food and tastes. These little beauties suit a certain connoisseur who requires depth of body and detail in their music. A time and a place. Buy them.

Good sound, poor build quality

BikeTech, Amazon
21 January 2014
  • Summary: Super open sound, clear, smooth and detailed. Bass sufficient but an EQ tweak helps. So why only two stars. The build quality is poor to the point of being dangerous. On selecting the best fitting tips I noticed the grill from the left hand tube had detached itself and was missing (it was there when I took them out of the packaging). Could not find it anywhere. Had to go to the doctors to check it was not still in my ear!
