The SoundMagic E30 come in one of the best packaging jobs I've ever seen. This is before I'm even able to see the packaging mind you. The E30 came securely wrapped with a brown cardboard box wrapped tightly around the actual package with either end having a label telling the user to fax a picture to SoundMagic if it had been tampered with or opened.
Pros: Pros: Sound is phenomenal for the price, packaging is great.
Cons: Cons: Build quality is lacking, comfort is an issue, slight microphonics
Summary: Brilliant IEMs. I got to say at a price 2.4 K they are second to none. Though base is little less as compared to their sibling E10, it's sufficient and with proper tips selection from the 6 extra pair of tips it can sound just amazing. Their wearing style makes me feel bit uncomfortable though. But SQ is very good and balanced. People who prefer back of the ear wearing style can go for it. Rating it 4 for just uncomfortable wearing style.
Summary: Was expecting more bass or a wholesome sound. Quality is good. Sound is good. My advice is to go for the Sony MW600 In-the-ear Headset which is priced at Rs 3500/- in flipkart. I believe in a SONY showroom you get this headset for Rs 3000/-.. So if you can spend Rs 500 extra you get the same sounding earphones but with with a bluetooth device which connects on 3 devices with ease of operation.
Summary: Bought these to replace some top end sony ones, sound quality is enjoyably good for the price. Primary reason for buying these was for my cycle to work, I found them a little insecure as buds but add the included over ear loops and they sit nicely inside the ear and are amazingly low profile. Any other cyclists will truly appreciate this as it means less wind noise and more comfort if you wear a hat over the top.
Summary: These headphones are very good. They have a very neutral sound and I would personally prefer a little bit more bass but that's just me being picky. They fit very well and haven't fallen out yet (I wear them whilst running). It did take a while to find the right fit though. You have to play around with the different size buds but it's definitely worth it once you find the correct ones.
Excerpt: I bought these earphones as the review was quite good and i looked forward to trying them, The sound quality when running has been very good and you can hear things around you, BUT and this is the only problem i have, i've been running for a few years and gone through a fair few earphones, the problem i seem to have run into (forgive the pun) is that with the earphones over the ear when i start sweating, it runs down the cable into my ear.
Summary: I originally went to the retail store at Ocean Terminal to buy the E10s, but after having a quick listen I decided to go for these. Bit of background first - I have these for my Cowon S9 (until I can save the pennies for more expensive earphones), all the music is in FLAC format and I 'burned in' the E30s for 24 hours before writing this review. I also tried different genres of music, such as rock, drum&bass, Pink Floyd and some electro.
