It also uses a liquid crystalline polymer diaphragm, which is five times as strong as conventional designs and reduces inner plate vibration significantly. This eliminates and suppresses vibration in a headphone, and provides users with optimized listening experience and fidelity.

Features

The Sony MDR-Z1000 is designed with oxygen free copper (OFC) wires, which features a 7N signal grade. This provides users with low distortion and minimal signal loss, thereby producing optimized sound and clarity. It also features a new gasket that covers the gap between the housing and the driver unit to enhance sound isolation from the outside world while preventing sound leakage. The headphone pads in the Z1000 with a wider fit and an improved foam cushion to provide users with a comfortable fit for pro-longed usage.
