Summary: Just got these yesterday after spending a long time at the store. After listening to and trying on lots of different pairs, I bought a $50 set of Sennheisers. They didn't even come close. I got these, brought them home, and fell in love. So happy with them so far...just need to get them out in a high-noise environment to see how they block out sound. They come with a big fancy box; would have been nice if they'd spent that money on a carrying bag. Otherwise, I love 'em.
Pros: Extra Bass, Good sound isolation, Layers Of Sound, Very Comfortable, Very lightweight
Cons: Cord is short, Mids Are Too High, No carrying bag
Summary: Build quality and looks: These cans look very stylish. I like the silver disk-like design on the top of the earcups, similar to xb90ex. These headphones are quite sturdy, I expect them to be durable.
Comfort: These are among the most comfortable headphones I ever worn. However, the synthetic leather pads could be uncomfortable for some since they could slip in sweat. These have good seal on ear and isolates well.
Sound: Here comes the important bit.
Pros: powerful bass impact, dark sound, soundstage, good treble, comfort, price
Summary: If you want base go buy yourself Denon AH-C300 IEMs, that's how base should be done! Even the Koss Porta Pros hammer these for sound. I couldn't give these away. Nice looking, but the bass kills everything, no one like bass this much, well maybe the beats crowd ^ ^.
Summary: I really love the sound of this headphones. Material appears to be steady and easily fits in the head. Cables are fairly resistant. The only problem with this headphones is they have too much bass (as the headline says) but all is fine as long you can change the equaliser settings :D
Summary: The earpieces are perhaps the most comfortable I have ever worn, but headphones need to be more than that of course. The overall sound from these is woolly bass that reduces the overall clarity of the signal, not to my taste at all. Perhaps I should have been forewarned by the name! I decided on a more upmarket pair of Bowers & Wilkins P3 that give a wonderful sound stage. Pity they are not as comfortable as the Sony.
Summary: Having tried 300 quid headphones I can attest to the quality of sound these 'phones output considering their price. Furthermore they're the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever ordered, and look extremely stylish and high quality! Highly recommended - treat yourself :-) P.S.
