Summary: The Bass is astounding. If you are into Rock, Pop etc. You need to run these Cans on a flat or low bass eq. I found the bass most dominant in the midrange frequency which can make them sound "muffled" like other reviewers have found. But after dropping the bass they have a rich and very powerful sound quality (although not as precise as past pairs I have owned). I waited a few weeks before I done this review to allow them to bed in and settle.
Summary: Just got these headphones through my door today, really good for lovers of the Drum and Bass or Dubstep music genre. Was hoping the overall sound would be quite clear but the bass really does take over, but I guess you get what you pay for! I do love bass so I cant complain :) very comfy on your ears aswell, really soft pads and they also slightly suck your ears for max listening pleasure.
Summary: I recently recieved a pair of these Sony headphones as a Christmas gift and they are immense. Sony say they the inspiration for the ear pads was an old leather sofa and i can see why, they're so comfortable. I like it loud and was not disappointed, in fact i had to turn them down after an hour for fear of permanent damage. I'm listening to all my music in a brand new light- the bass they generate is just intense- so buy these headphones!
Summary: For an amateur who just loves bass sounds, and beautiful designed headphones this really is the way to go. Some people say the bass is overrated with these headphones but it sure is better then all the headphones I ever heard. Delivery (in my case to Belgium) is also very fast. (I really recommend this product for people who love the dub sounds!
Summary: Easily the best headphones I have owned. I had a pair of sennhieser closed back 202s before these, the sound quality dropped quickly and were very uncomfortable after a few hours of wearing them. These however, are extremely comfortable, the sound quality is fantastic and they look very stylish on your head. Definitely a 5 star buy.
Summary: i had my headphones come this morning .i plug them in to my mp3 player the sound is great and if you want loud then get the mdrxb500 are the ones to get.i am very happy a great buy for the money a must buy
Summary: Bought these as my first pair of headphones thanks to the huge emphasis on bass as I'm a bit of a bass freak! I have to say that these have definitely surprised me as to how much bass they can actually squeeze in, everything I've thrown at them which sometimes make my Creative earphones distort, these headphones took with ease.
Summary: Now when I first decided to buy these headphones I was worried that the mid range of the headphones would be distorted by the sheer Bassyness of them (despite sony's claim otherwise). When I first plugged them in and started listening, there were two things I noticed. The first was just how very loud they were. Seriously, they're the first headphone's I've owned that I couldn't listen to my music at full volume. And that's never a bad thing.
Summary: I've bought these for my sister for when she goes to university & is without her sound system, & I'm not sure if she will like these or not! Sound: The sound is ridiculously bassy! I mean, so much bass & then some! If you like bass, then these will be for you! But if you want clarity from your headphones then forget it. These are so bassy that the rest of the spectrum suffers. That's not to say that they sound bad, but they're not for mastering!
