The Comfyest Headphones Around

Hockey.Adin, Amazon
15 January 2012
  • Summary: The Most Comfy Headphones EVER!! Not massive over the ear, but cover them adequately. Look cool, sound qualities great, good bass! Block out sound when playing music. Only cons: When played really loud (which i dont do anyway) they leak sound abit. Your ears may get quite hot after abit. Other than that, bloody brilliant! Favourite Purchase!

Surprising

Amy, Amazon
27 December 2011
  • Summary: These are absolutely gorgeous! They feel so soft and comfortable and the sound is great. What I also wanted and which these delivered were they way the wiring is encased in the flat style covering. I was always breaking headphones because of snagging the wiring or it would just wear down of its own accord. The only thing I would say is that they don't completely block out external noise BUT that can be an advantage in case somethings happens that you NEED to hear.

Sony excellences, as always.

Y. Chan, Amazon
22 September 2011
  • Summary: I've now owned the 300 and the 700, now settled on these 500s. great sound and great bass, but do not use it on out in public, not that there to big, but the noise leaks out BIG TIME! It will make you very very unpopular on the trains. All are very very very comfortable. 700 the driver is way to big, and leaks the sound out. they are actually loud speakers. 300 are perfect for the train, but not too loud. Not as comfortable as the 500 and 700.

Extra Bass? No, Appropriate Levels of Bass.

HN, Amazon
19 July 2011
  • Summary: Separation between different frequencies is excellent, I was really expecting poor performance reading the reviews here. But no. In fact they capture highs I hadn't heard before! Bass-lines are excellently recreated and then some. I like to believe I'm saying this with a bit of authority - I listen to electronic music (which seems to be the target market for these) and I only compare by listening tracks I've heard (many times) on gigs; I get the same physical vibrations...

Put your Dr. Dre beats down... and try these for size!!!

luke shalom, Amazon

  • Summary: Well first of all i would like to state that these headphones are bassy, in fact they are very bassy... however this is not necessarily a bad thing because it adds so much to the sound and over all feel of the music. Other reviewers on the Internet have said that these headphones sometimes distort the other frequencies and only focus mainly on the low and mid frequencys , well i can say well... it entirely depends on you musical taste.

Feel the bass!

Shane, Amazon
25 December 2010
  • Summary: I purchased these as a replacement for my surround system at home for when I'm at uni. I absolutely love them. Absolutely great for lounging around in before a night out, playing your favourite tunes on 'em to get you in the party mood. The Good: The bass is bouncy, deep and has great depth. It doesn't deteriorate high volumes. They are incredibly comfortable. It feels like the pads hug your ears.

Best sounding headphones I have owned

J.F, Amazon
6 September 2010
  • Summary: I have been using some other (non-extra bass) Hi-Fi style Sony headphones for the past few years and have replaced them every time they have broken, and for my ipod i use earbud headphones, but these are the best sonding Hi-Fi style (over the head) ones i have ever owned - by a long shot. I don't use these for listening to my ipod, though thats what the designers obviously had in mind - as the cord is very short.

Almost Perfect

Kamolwat Suvityasiri "The Consumer", Amazon
28 June 2010
  • Summary: When I first read reviews about this product before I bought it, people usually said that the base was too overwhelming. I disagree completely because I love bass! and also I think it depends on the EQ. I normally use my ipod touch to play music with and if you mess around with the EQ you can pretty much listen to music in whatever style you like. People were also saying how comfortable the ear cups are.... are they're extremely comfortable!
