Summary: These headphones really do put out some good bass. This doesn't mean that everything else sounds mumbled. Treble is still nice and clear, but it's recommended that you play around with the EQ settings to find the right sound for you. Only downside is that because they're huge and covers your ears completely, it gets hot and you will get sweaty if you're not in an air conditioned room. Still, all you have to do is take em out for a breather and you'll be fine.
Summary: Like many other reviewers, I found these headphones extremely comfortable with excellent boosted bass and reasonably clear middle/low notes. This review would likely be five-stars, but after only 3 months of light use, the left ear stops working unless I give it a good slap. Only a partial refund is now available to me, and I have to pay for return shipping, so what's the point really?
Summary: Just like other reviewers have mentioned, this set is a great deal if you are a lover of loud bass. Cord could have been a little longer since it just reached the mp3 player in my pocket while washing the car. The ear pads are plush but cause my ears to get a bit warm and they feel a little tight for my large head but I would imagine they would be comfortable for 95% of users.
Great Sound Quality, A Little Tight, Cord Too Short
3 June 2012
Summary: GOOD I purchased these headphones for the express purpose of improved sound quality over my previous pair of wireless Sony headphones (I was tired of static regardless of configuration). The sound quality of these headphones is superior to any I have used in the past. The bass if full and deep (just how I like it) while mid and high ranges are clear.
Summary: These headphones were recommended to me by a friend, and I in turn will highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a new set of headphones. These headphones have great sound quality, and their bass is amazing.
Summary: Good bang for the buck cans. Super comfy. These are designed for super heavy bass (i.e. hip-hop, trance, electronica etc.) as most have said the hi mids are lacking but these are called Xtra Bass for a reason. I have many different sets of cans from ultra cheapos to in-ears and Grados. While they don't compare to those last two or cans costing 10 times these, the xbr500s perform very well.
Summary: First I like to say, is these headphones are the best Headphones I have ever heard, Second they are kind of bulky (just the way I like them very stylish), Third these headphone can get scary loud and the bass is so deep and the quality is so good that it literally shakes my head(at a kind of high level i could only listen for about 4 minutes or i was going to have some serious ear damage, no need to turn up to the max), Fourth the cushions on these things feel like top...
