Summary: The Bass is flawless if it isn't overpowered by the player and the sound is crisp. All in all they are very comfortable, affordable, headphones that i would take any day over Monster Beats by Dr.
Summary: I purchased these headphones after reading lots of reviews on all the leading brands. These are AWESOME!!!! Great Bass, Great Sound, Quality, Comfort. I would never purchase a 300 dollar pair of headphones over these...no way...
Summary: First off, I have to say these are fantastic headphones. I have used them quite a bit now, and I am impressed with almost everything about them. The good: To put it in simple terms... the bass in these headphones is insane. I've never had so much bass pumping through my head. So these really pack a punch. These headphones go for the same music types as other bass headphones (such as Beats by Dre), music that is bass heavy. e.g.
Summary: I've tried on bestbuy and it was amazing. It's deff extra comfort & bass but it still has pretty clear sounds on songs that doesn't have too much bass. Especially if you wear glasses, it doesn't squeeze your glasses' legs cuz it's wicked light and comfortable. Pros. - Comfortable - Light weigh - Clear sounds - Doesn't hurt your ears as long as you don't blast the volume Cons.
Summary: I got these a month or so again. They sound great, I listen to pretty mellow music that probably doesn't utilize the extra bass, but still; They sound great. The best part, though, is how comfortable they are. It's ridiculous, I wish I had a giant one of the pads to use as a pillow. They look pretty cool and sound great. Couldn't be happier.
Summary: Unreal sounds!!! Crisp Clear full deep bass sounds. This pair of headphones has really made me enjoy just sitting and listening to music. The sounds that are picked up from the various channels are simply mind blowing. Took a while to find a pair, but it was worth the wait!!
Summary: I tried out the Sony MDR-XB500 headphones and was relatively disappointed by the sound, which was only OK. They don't just offer strong bass, they overemphasize the bass at the express of midtones and highs, giving music a muddy and boomy sound. Sure, you can adjust the equalizer to balance out the sound, but why should have you have to do that? After trying various brands and models I ended up choosing the Sony DRZX701IP.
Summary: I purchased these headphones back in 2009 and have been using them ever since. Over these 3 years, I have had absolutely no problems with them and certainly do not regret the purchase. At the time I paid 80 dollars for these and would definitely pay that amount again. I do not know why the prices are so high from these sellers, but I got them at Best Buy and so I assume they would be cheaper there now.
Summary: I've recently tried several headphones: Sennheiser HD428's, Shure 440's and finally Sony XB500's. I felt that the the Sennheiser and Shure couldn't be 'driven' to optimal performance with an iPod. I had the volume on max for a good sound. That disappoints because I needn't have to have the volume maxed out to enjoy. I also had volume issues when listening to a podcast with spoken word. I had the volume maxed to hear a podcast! WTF? The Sony's are awesome. Sounds great.

Summary: I have had this headphone for a while. IT is very good and has fun energetic sound. The treble is nice and clear but needs to goes a little bit higher, it rolls off too fast. And the Bass is just a little bit too much. It is only good for rap and hip hop. It will mess up other genres. Sony needs to EQ the bass down some. Overall, It is very good headphone for the price if you like rap and hip hop.
