Summary: These are just what I wanted and haven't been able to find anywhere except really cheap "airline" quality at Big Lots. I never liked the feeling of the earplugs in my ears and most are too big anyway!! I frequently listen to recorded books at work, and these are quick and easy to remove in a hurry when answering a phone or just when you need to. Sony is a brand I've always trusted and I'm hoping these headphones last a good while!
Summary: I purchased these to replace an older pair of Sony MDR-W14L that I have had for years and they are good. The wider headband at the top defiantly helps them stay in place much better than the MDR-W14L pair did but I have to agree with others that the volume slider just ruins the sound when it is turned up the whole way. It also seems slightly more muffled compared to the older MDR-W14L.
Summary: I bought two of these, happy to have found an over-the-head headphone with a volume control on the wire. Ear buds are always falling out of my ears. Well the sound quaity was very good, but after a tug on the wire when it got caught on the doorknob as I was going out the door, the right channel dropped out. Broken already! And it was not a hard tug. So I got my second pair, and the same thing happened in a week.
Summary: Love these little headphones. I had an older version and the cord got vacuumed by our office cleaning staff. I was so sad thinking I wouldn't find a replacement. Found these and they're even better -- they have volume control! I wear them upside down with the top hanging under my chin - comfortable either way. Oh, and great sound!
Summary: I love over head light weight headphones like these because they don't fall off like earbuds yet allow you to hear the outside world enough to be aware of what's going on. Alternatively, they can be pressed into your ear a bit to block more sound (but won't achieve isolation like in-ear buds). This sony model fits nicely, is lightweight, and has a very useful volume control on the cord.
Summary: These are nice, inexpensive, over-the-head headphones which are the only ones I can use---I am one of those people for whom earbuds just fall out immediately when doing any kind of activity. These headphones are not rated as `sports' headphones, probably because they do not have a moisture guard like some of the more expensive ones, but they work fine for me (and, in fact, I've had the moisture-guard versions die on me anyway).
Summary: I had these before and loved them! Someone borrowed them from me and never gave them back, so I needed to replace them. I guess they liked them too! Great sound quality! No problems with shipping either.
Summary: I'm on my second pair of these and have decided to switch to a different headphone. I use them for the gym with my Creative Zen Stone. The first pair I had, one side shorted out after about a year. The pair I am on now shorted out just after 8 months. I love the headphone but wish they would sort out the issue as it seems to be pretty common.
