Awful

  • Excerpt: Okay these are awful soundwise. They have a really nasty spike in the higher mids 2k region and extreme rolled off treble and very bleh sounding bass. This gives music a very artificial rough harsh sound nothing is pleasing and nothing is accurate about it's sound some music will sound okay on it but 99% of music sounds bad. It's almost like someone EQed it to sound as bad as it can. Other Sony headphones don't sound good either.Although they sound better than these.
  • Cons: Poor Sound Quality

  • Summary: I am so upset with this over-priced headphone. I was excited with it for a short while and then I realized that the wire is weak where you plug the headphone into the audio equipment. The music gets cut off on my left ear and I have to juggle the stupid wire around. I went out of my way to get an expensive headphone thinking this problem would not occur but, alas, I am very disappointed. Don't waste your money.

  • Summary: Don't buy these. They aren't very good or very accurate. They are not comfortable, since they sit on your ears not around them. The MDRV-600 is SO MUCH BETTER IN ALL RESPECTS!

  • Summary: I have these and an older pair of V-600's. The V-600's sound better in any system than these do. The V-6's are tinny with too much upper mids, and vague in the bass, with poorer image and clarity compared to the V-600's. I'm sorry I bought the V-6's. No matter how good your system or headphone amp (I have a Creek OBH-11 amp, and three different high end CD players), the V-600's are simply better headphones all around.
