Excerpt: I use this for gaming and music all the time on my laptop computer and I have not had an issue. The sound is amazing, and the bass (which im always skeptic of) is good. It gets pretty compact but then you can only get so small with such quality.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Stylish
Excerpt: I'm not a DJ but I AM a drummer, and I use these headphones to listen to music as I play along. These have a brighter, more dynamic sound quality than my other headphones, and I can hear every note loud & clear no matter how hard I hit the drums.
Excerpt: I was in the market for something to use at the gym. I've tried Beats, Bose, etc. I was leaning toward the wireless earbud option. When I threw on the MDR-V55's, I was thoroughly impressed! So many of these headphones have overhyped bass, without much fidelity in the highs or mids.
Pros: Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
Summary: Like others have said, these aren't the most comfortable things to wear. After a long time of listening to music I'll take these off and my ears will be really sore. Also, it is really easy for other people to hear your music if you have it at high-ish volumes. Those aren't deal breakers, though.
Excerpt: These replaced their predecessor the Sony MDR-V700DJ. The sound is impressive to say the least, you hear all the small details in your music. These headphones produce a great range of sounds. Your mids and highs are Crystal clear. The bass won't overwhelm you, but it's not missing.
Summary: I love these headphones. I bought them because I take public transit everyday, and my earbuds don't do the "don't talk to me I'm busy" trick. The cord is a flat rubber cord so that it doesn't get tangled.
Summary: Let me start this review off by saying I'm not really an audiophile but I feel like I have an ear for quality. Also, I have no interest in buying any set of designer headphones for $100+... just seems like a giant waste of money.
