Excerpt: I was in the market for something to use at the gym. I've tried Beats, Bose, etc. I was leaning toward the wireless earbud option. When I threw on the MDR-V55's, I was thoroughly impressed! So many of these headphones have overhyped bass, without much fidelity in the highs or mids. The MDR-V55's have a nice, solid bottom, with clean (but not harsh) highs mids.
Pros: Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
Excerpt: Awesome headphones for the price! Short cord, but works great for a deejay setup or hooking up to your iPod/iphone/smartphone. You just have to put the headphones down before going for your vinyl if you still spin vinyl. These headphones kinda hurt my ears after about an hour, but most all on ear headphones are like that with me.
Pros: Compact, Good Bass, Good Value, Lightweight, Stylish
Excerpt: For the price you cannot beat the range of sound offered by these headphones. Beats by Dre are multiples of the price and do not offer anywhere near the range that these do on the bass-treble scale. Get these. Spent the other $250 on something else.
Summary: I was debating on beats solo or monster headphones found the sony on sale and got them,I was amazed by how good the sound was when try them for the first time good bass but not overpower I try the beats solo at best buy and I'm not afraid to say that the sound on the sony is better than the beats great deal since I choosed the free pick up in store I would definitely recomend the sony to someone trying to get a good pair of headphones and not wanting to spend a fortune
Excerpt: These replaced their predecessor the Sony MDR-V700DJ. The sound is impressive to say the least, you hear all the small details in your music. These headphones produce a great range of sounds. Your mids and highs are Crystal clear. The bass won't overwhelm you, but it's not missing. It reminds me of the type of bass you would get from a pair of 8 or 10 inch woofers, you get clean tight responsive bass. These ain't 12's. But for the price you can't argue with them.
Summary: My Beats Solos started to have static for the second time in two years so I wanted to purchase an inexpensive new pair of headphones that still had good quality. I read numerous good reviews and decided on these. I was still very surprised and pleased with their sound quality and build. The bass is strong and all of my songs sound very clear, sounding better than they ever did with my Beats.
Excerpt: Great sound for the price. While the cushions aren't the 'fullest', they are comfortable on the ears (I should note a mild discomfort when taking the headphones OFF, but I never notice this whilst wearing them). They are lightweight and compact, good for the hikes and city walks that I like to do.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight
