Summary: Great headphones. Highly recommend.
Pros: Light and compact. Great sound and NR. Use w/or w/o NR. Long battery life on NR. Can find good price. Detachable cord. Monitor feature. Extra battery, cord exten, ipod nano w/ strap, 2-pin adapter fit in case. Comfortable on a 12 hr flight.
Cons: They aren't made by Bose so now I need to figure out what to do with an extra $200 in my pocket.
Summary: I've used Bose noise canceling earphones for years. When the outer ear cups on my last pair inexplicably peeled off when I laid them on the cover of a paperback book overnight, and Bose only offered to sell me new ear pads at full cost, I decided to look around for an alternative.
Pros: Comfortable on-ear fit, great noise cancellation, neatly folds into compact case
Cons: Annoying monitor button easy to accidentally push
Summary: Bought these after christmas and they are amazing! Sound is great, Noise-cancelling works great! I travel to work from the east coast to Fort McMurray so a great pair of headphone is important to me and their cheaper than the bose QC15. I love the fact you can still use it without the NC or when the battery dies. 1- AAA batterie so very convenient. Nice case that came with it. No complains at all!
Summary: I've been using noise cancelling headphones for over two years, mostly to cancel out aircraft noise. The Sony MDR10RNC is terrific and I'm really happy with the headphones. The build quality is really good, the fit is comfortable and it does an excellent job in blotting out aircraft noise and in providing you with a cocoon of peace and quiet.
Summary: Great performance in noisy environments (I tried them in a 8-hour bus trip and in a 5-hour flight) and excellent sound quality and deepness if you try them in a quiet place. Comfortable, functional, nice carrying case... Simply, a great choise to make!
