Summary: I have owned these headphones for over 2 years now, using them almost regularly. I have run numerous times with them on, and they have been exposed to sweat and rain. The only wear and tear I can tell is the ripping of the foam liners. Totally worth your money (or maybe I was extremely lucky?
Summary: I used those things for over three years in college. They withstood all the jostling of textbooks, quick removals from and entries into my messenger bag, and tosses on the floor. On a few occasions, I wore them for about two hours with only mild discomfort. The foam covers wore down after a few years, but they withstood the abuse well.
Summary: These last forever. I bought my current pair in 2005 or so. I actually bought replacement felt covers for the headphones due to wear and tear, but the headphones themselves never had any problems, and still work.
Summary: I can't tell you how long I've owned my current set (maybe since High School/beginning of college, and that's going on 11 years now). The sound quality is BEYOND excellent. I have a pair of Bose in-ear headphones and I prefer to use this Sony set instead. I honestly think that as far as sound quality goes, this pair beats my Bose by a lot. I will definitely buy again as a back up pair just in case something happens to my current set.

Summary: I just ordered a second pair of these due to the great experience I had with the first pair I've used for the last two years or so. I use these exclusively for exercise, and I run distance outside, so these have taken quite a beating, including hot, cold, sweat, rain, and snow. After so much use, the plastic that goes behind the ears has broken, but the headphones still work just fine.
Summary: Had a pair for almost 5 years, never had any problems. Good Bass for $12. They have been dropped, stepped on, and slept on more times then I can count. Just on of the best pairs I have ever own, and I am a serious user (3 Ipods, work, home gym).
Summary: I like behind the head phones. The are not as a group as comfortable, but it's a trade off for fit, and stability. These sound good but really hurt after a short while, as the plastic wings press on ears ,which are, as we know , tender. Maybe they have different shaped ears on Vulcan. Wish they still made my old Koss 55's.
