Summary: For info I owned the Sony mdr-ex70/71 before and over 2 Years no one of them broke. The durability of them is outstanding for such an filigree product. I just bought always the last model. I use them daily about 2 hours (on the way to work and back) together wit my iRiver IGP-100, which is still the best mobile 1,5GB Storage player imo. When I got my first pair Sony mdr-ex70 they where great.
Excerpt: I bought this pair of Sony MDR-EX81LP Bud-Style Stereo Earphones by Sony for 900 pesos. Its model number is MDREX81LP/W. It has a lot of features which are useful for me. For one, my previous earphones easily got torn after one week of use which really frustrated me.
Summary: These headphones sound great when they are in your ear, but if you are doing any thing other than sitting perfectly still they just fall out. The only good thing about the hook shape is they don't fall off you head completely. I personally find my self just wasting money on ear bud style headphones just to find they won't stay in my ear. I have about 8 different sets, I think it's time to go old school.....
Summary: I've bought this product more then I'd like.
It's very good for a few months(usually long enough for the warranty to expire), and then one of the head phone will stop working.
Buy at your own risk.
Summary: These earbuds are great. I'm not sure what the people giving this product negative reviews are talking about, but I definitely disagree. I had a pair similar to these that I bought in 2006 and used them 5 times a week when running for almost 2 years. I think eventually the moisture from sweating on/around them for so long made them stop working.
Excerpt: I use these for everything - TV, PC, portable, you name it. Bought two pairs on sale in December and quality has barely diminished if at all, and I use them a LOT. Lightweight, durable, and they don't fall out which is specifically why I sought these traditional earpieces.
Excerpt: Contrary to the other review, I've found these are excellent for running and other activities. The over the ear style keeps them in your ear a million times better then regular ear buds which I find always fall out with the slightest tug on the wire. Sound quality is also good, not crackly at all. But I will agree the one flaw is the rubber "coating" used on the wires is not hardy enough and starts to rip, crack and expose the underlying wire.
Pros: Stay in the ear really well, good sound quality
Cons: Rubber coating of wires rubs off after a few months .
