Good Headset

Dustin P., Newegg
20 March 2008
  • Pros: The Sound from this pair of headset is great for the price not to mention the ability to have a short wire or have the ext cord on if ya need another ft or so...
  • Cons: Only thing is that when running or moving around a lot the earplugs fall outta my ear but arent nearly as bad as some more previous headsets that I'v used.

  • Pros: The sound is AMAZING for such a "cheap" headphone set. They truly do sound great!
  • Cons: The cord is a pain in the keister because of the way the headphones are split. One side is shorter than the other and can become a little unbearable to wear at times.

Good sound, but a bit un-comfortable IMO

Anonymous, Newegg
29 February 2008
  • Summary: Great phones. If you're short on cash, but can't get by with the cheap craps came with your MP3 player, then get these. If you're a fan of canal-phones, you'll more than likely love these.
  • Pros: They sound really great. I researched around and these are the best bang for your buck with the Shure E2C's being a distant, more expensive second. Not that expensive if quality is what you're after.
  • Cons: I don't like the cord, but that's just me. It tangles easily if you just put them in your pocket. I like the regular, both-cords-the-same-length scheme, but I guess Sony feels differently. My major gripe with these is that they're uncomfortable. I could wear them for a couple hours, but past that...

Why is the left side shorter than the right?

marcus n., Newegg
14 February 2008
  • Pros: Sound rather well. I don't usually wear ear buds but I thought I'd try them out and people said they liked these a lot and they last a long time so I thought I'd try them out.
  • Cons: Left side is a lot shorter than the right. I don't understand the explanation for this? They don't seem to fit just right. I don't understand the little silver thing.

SONY Fontopia Series MDR-EX71SLA

Richard P., Newegg
2 January 2008
  • Pros: I will start with, I am not a audiophile. This headset sounds great. The bass is nice and the sound is full.
  • Cons: The ear buds are a bit difficult to place correctly. Cord movement noise seems to be amplified. When listening to music on an exercise bike I can hear all the movement of the cord.

Great Headphones for the price

Meng M., Newegg
12 November 2007
  • Summary: These are the first and only ear violating earbuds I have. They sound much better than stock headphones and beats most other in-ear headphones of the same price. I enjoyed them while they lasted although they did last for more than a year.
  • Pros: Awesome bass; Good looking design; Durable cord; secure silicone buds; comfortable; slim L-Shaped connector; gold plated connector; includes carrying case; great for on cord remote controls; great price for features
  • Cons: Earbuds themselves not so durable; sound not as premium as they could be; too long
