Sony MDR-EX700

Sool, CNET
29 October 2011
  • Summary: As they come straight out of the box it was a bad idea to plug and play immediately. I was disappointed as i forgot to leave them playing for themselves for a while. But after doing that the surprise was big and positive!!
  • Pros: Build quality and sound quality are very good. It gives an open, honest and relaxing picture.
  • Cons: The price and the issue with the higher regions which is imo the transients and not the region itself.

Dont buy!

Ramzan, Amazon
11 October 2011
  • Summary: I had MDR-EX500 before, their sound was good but in one year the right speaker stopped working. So I decided to buy these ones. I expected their sound quality be better and also have better wires. However, they have identical wires so I am sure they will have the same problems. Now the sound...

Quality IEM's that make short work of long-haul flights!!

Bytor "Inspect A Gadget", Amazon
21 August 2011
  • Summary: They may not be sold as "Noise-Cancelling" IEM's but when they're installed properly they certainly work almost as good as my BOSE QC15's but weigh-in at nothing at all! Build quality is much better compared to a lot of my previous purchases in the SONY MDR range and the carry-case is sublimely...

Sony MDR-EX700 Hi-Quality In-ear headphones

C. Slachmuylders, Amazon
3 April 2011
  • Summary: Excellent headphones. I bought them a year ago and I was truly amazed by it's quality. But now the sound in the right ear plug is starting to be glitchy due to a fault in the wiring even though I've always carried my earphones in the case they came with.

MDR-EX700 FAKES

anon, Amazon
17 March 2011
  • Summary: These so called Sony MDR-EX700 were anything but hi quality as the name suggests. Firstly they came loose in a poly bag with no other items included. The left side hardly worked at all and the right side had the worst sound I have ever heard in any in ear phones.

NOT for runners

Mr. Simon Paddon "Simon", Amazon
13 February 2011
  • Summary: I bought these headphones for running with, as my previous sennheisers cables had (once again) snapped inside. Like the look, thought they seemed different. The sound quality is good- though it does lack bass.

Buy them before Sony stops making them.

Slick J, Amazon
6 February 2011
  • Summary: Really satisfied with these. I use them at work and for playing and making music. As a bonus, they isolate outer sound really well, so I don't need to use big closed headphones at work anymore. Amazing headphones. I would recommend them to anyone, including people working in music studios.
