Good sound, but poor design - Very poor - Irritatingly poor.

stealth, Amazon
4 October 2014
  • Summary: I bought these to replace my old Sony headphones, in which the right earphone goes behind the neck and connects to the ear. These things are a sorry excuse for headphones, as they irritate the crap out of me. But, I couldn't find the same old design I'm used to and there wasn't any choice for headphones with less than a 1m cord.

Not as expected for Sony.

MissMDK, Amazon

  • Summary: True what they say, you get what you pay for. I was sadly disappointed with the quality considering these in-ear headphones are titled 'Deep Bass' - especially being the reason I had purchased them. Sad to say even when the bass was set to increase on my iPod there seemed to be no noticeable change in the depth of the music and if anything seriously lacked bass with or without adjusting the equalizer settings.

  • Summary: Treble is too high on these earphones. Bass isn't powerful enough. Overall decent quality build. Would rather spend a little more and get a better pair.

No bass in left bud

Ravi Pertab, Amazon
3 April 2014
  • Summary: I bought the earphones and from day one the left earphone had no bass. The right one was pretty decent for the money though. I would give it a 3/4 star rating if they both worked (considering the amount of bass for the cheap price). I have tried them on my phone and laptop and no difference. It's a real shame.

Low Quality earplugs

aeske, Amazon
12 March 2014
  • Summary: I thought Sony meant Deep Bass when they wrote Deep Bass. But if you're looking for good quality sound with deep bass don not buy these phones. The Sony MDR-ED12LP are a much better choice staying within the same brand and roughly the same price.

Misleading Description

Erin Karaviotis, Amazon
25 February 2014
  • Summary: The "Deep Bass" is almost non existant to me, I have to turn the volume up to ridiculous levels to hear a satisfying amount, and the treble is way too overpowering.

Spare earphones at the ready!

jjcross, Ciao

  • Excerpt: DAMN IT!!!! That's what I shouted at myself after running over my 2 months old Sennheiser Cx-475 earphones with an vacuum cleaner, that would now cost £40 to replace. What really got me, was the fact that I decided not to insure the blasted things, as I thought it would be impossible to kill them... (The Dyson proving me wrong.) Why these earphones?
  • Pros: They do the job .
  • Cons: They are not the fanciest thing in my technology box, basic .
