Not up to the mark

Sushant P., Newegg
25 August 2011
  • Summary: for base and overall lovers.. would recommend, Philips SHE 9550. I owned them for more than a year. Very confortable, Awesome sound.. and also cheap..
  • Pros: value for money..maybe..
  • Cons: 1. I was expecting something with good bass. these have good bass, but it pretty flat. More like canned one. There is less groove. 2. Earphone not very comfortable. They are hard, so difficuly to fit and hurt after some time.

Eggcelent Sound Quality

Anonymous, Newegg
27 July 2011
  • Pros: Sound quality is extremely good for ear buds. I found the form factor to be very comfortable. Bass ranges are clearly audible and have an excellent physical signature.
  • Cons: The cord could be a bit longer, but is standard for ear buds.

Makes my Droid sing

John R., Newegg
1 December 2010
  • Summary: Buy two sets as they seem to walk away at times :)
  • Pros: Excellent qualities as an aerial for my Droid (cheap airline ear buds did not function well). Buds are clearly marked for left and right ears and the ergonomics give you a great fit.
  • Cons: None

Best for the price

Justin T., Newegg
14 September 2010
  • Pros: I've purchased a few pairs of this style of headphones from WalMart and they're the only ones I'll buy for under $100.
  • Cons: If you have small ears, they might irritate the back/bottom of the earlobe. Luckily, I don't.

no bass

Jeffrey S., Newegg
6 May 2010
  • Summary: My pair may just be defective, so I gave it a little benefit of doubt: two stars instead of one.
  • Pros: The mid and high range sounds are very clear.
  • Cons: There is no bass. I turned up all the bass settings on my mp3 player and there was still no bass. I then plugged in my older headphones (cheap Skullcandy pair) at those settings and the sound was nothing but bass with them.

Insane Bass! One small problem...

Anonymous, Newegg
16 July 2008
  • Summary: For the price, the discomfort is well worth it.
  • Pros: I've never heard buds with this much bass before. Great, clear sound.
  • Cons: VERY uncomfortable. The bass boosting flat part juts into the back of your ear. The bud that is supposed to go into your canal doesn't really reach. One size buds, no way to make them more comfortable. they never really make you 'forget' they are in your ear like good headphones do.
