ALMOST Exactly what I wanted...

Greg, J&R
23 March 2011
  • Summary: This looked like they were exactly what I wanted. I did read in some reviews about interference with Wi-Fi. However, all my TV and stereo equipment have hard wired ethernet, so I wasn't too worried about it. I had just set up my system with the Twonky Media Server to serve up all my media stored on my NAS drive (audio and video). I use my Iphone as the control device for all of this. It allows me to "beam" anything from my NAS drive to my home audio/video system.
  • Pros: Great Sound
  • Cons: Uncomfortable

Good Sound

co, J&R
15 March 2011
  • Summary: I purchased these for my husband because of his hearing loss. He was reduced to subtitles or having the TV so loud it could be heard throughout the house. He is now able to listen at any level he chooses. The pdf for these headphones say that you can purchase as many (add on) Sony MDR-DS6000 headphones as you would like. If I could find the add on headphones I would purchase a pair for myself. IMO they have wonderful sound.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Helps with hearing loss, Lightweight

Good all around product, just poor range

Beowulf68, J&R
9 September 2010
  • Summary: These Sony Head Phones are pretty good. They are realtively comfortable, have good volume and decent base. However, they have really poor wireless range if you already have a "G" or "N" band wireless network running in your house. I couldn't leave my bedroom (that's about 20 or 30 feet) without all the sound cutting out. I tried swithing channels on these head phones to no avail.

Nice Headphones

Clayton W, J&R
19 August 2010
  • Summary: I purchased these to replace an old LTB wireless headphone that I use with my computer...the LTB's were good, but the earcups have worn out and I can't find replacements. Though a little pricey (even at $100 off MSRP), the MDR-DS6000 sound good and are comfortable for long stretches. I've purchased from J&R in the past[...]. Overall, a nice deal for me.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Great Sound
  • Cons: A little pricey

A little pricey, but a good buy anyway

Leisureworld resident, J&R
13 January 2010
  • Summary: All in all I liked the Head Phones. As I said a little pricey, but the sound is great. Live in a retirement community with people that go to bed early, cant turn up my surround to a level I can hear and also wont bother others. They are especially handy with movies which go load and inaudible where I cant hear the dialogue.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Great Sound, Lightweight
  • Cons: Bit of noise backgnd
