Sony Altus MDR-D777LP

24 April 2007
  • Excerpt: (1 items) Sony's new Altus MDR-D777LP headphones are quite unique in their technical design: they're circumaural (around-the-ear) headphones that look as if they'd be closed/sealed -- meaning they physically block out external noise -- but they have a switch on each earpiece that lets you choose between closed and open modes. Unfortunately, this interesting feature doesn't offer much in terms of real-world performance differences.

Sony Altus MDR-D777LP Review

26 December 2006
  • Conclusion: While the marketing behind the Sony Altus headphones draws attention to the whiz-bang features like frequency response and the convertible open/closed profile, we actually like these headphones for everything that wasn’t hyped. They sound good, and is there really anything else you can ask of a headphone? Though some might argue the sticker price is a little high, the sleek styling and strong build quality make up for it.
  • Pros: High frequency response range; solid build quality
  • Cons: Expensive; can be uncomfortable with extended use

  • Summary: Наушники MDR-D777 рекламируются как качественная модель для MP3-плеера, но они ничуть не хуже подходят и для домашнего использования.
