Summary: These are my favourite "blue jeans" buds. They're dirt cheap and have much better sound than their price suggests. The insulation plastic is slightly waxy-feeling and carries very little cord-noise through to your ears (a BIG problem with my old Nuforce buds). The removable over-ear hooks are comfortable and significantly ease routing the cords over your ears to reduce even more cord-noise.
Pros: * Sound is reasonably good, * Comfortable, * Very little cord-noise, * My most resilient phones to date, * Useful short cord-length + extension, * Stylish
Cons: * Sound is not quite as good as my old Nuforce buds, * Comes with a silly, bulky cord-case., * Comes with a fiddly lapel-clip that doesn't work well and can pinch cords if you're not careful
Summary: I have small ears so earbuds are hard to find for me. These fit great, so I went ahead and purchased five pairs. Well, they all broke in the same way: one of the buds stops working within a few months of use. Continuing the search.
Owned 2 pairs, both lost sound in less than a month

Summary: I owned 2 pairs of these and both broke in less than a month! The second pair in less than 2 weeks! They both ended up having the sound go out on the left side bud. I wore them to work out/run with. So I did sweat, not sure if that's the problem? However, as they seemed to be geared toward people working out, you would think they could handle sweat to an extent. I have owned the cheaper Sony $10 plastic pair and they always lasted a year at least.
Summary: The configuration of these MDR-AS40EX earphones is excellent. They are comfortable and block out all the annoying noises of everyday life in the city - people talking on cell phones on the bus, extremely loud sirens, car horns, advertising, etc. BUT, when I bought these as replacements, the left channel did not work at all. How Sony can put their name on such cheap slopwork from the factory is beyond me. The new Sony?
Summary: I bought these to use while jogging. They stayed in place and fit my ears when most earbuds won't. However, I felt like my niece's Playskool radio has better sound quality than these. I found there to be no bass and just a poor sound quality overall. I will be returning these and looking into getting different ones.
Summary: This is my 2nd set of loop style headphones and I must say I love these things. Extremely durable, quality sound is excellent and they sit comfortably. My 1st set lasted 3 years and I'm an active user between my daily gym sessions of heavy lifting & running, out door events to everyday listening. A-lass after all these years of abuse they've died out due to the left side blowing out. I had to get another pair when I saw the pricing.
Summary: As a half-marathoner, I have been searching for earbuds that don't fall out of my ears for some time. In the last six months alone, I have been through half a dozen types of earbuds (Sony, J-buds, Coby, and others), but once those earbuds started to dampen with sweat after the first mile or so, I was constantly having to put them back in. These earbuds, on the other hand, are great!
Summary: I've had two of these earphones. The sound is good but they don't last. On both sets I've lost sound in one earbud over time. The first set lasted about 8 months but the second set only lasted less than 2 months before the left speaker stopped working.
