Even when a product is not the latest release from a company, its reliability and quality always makes reviewing it worthwhile. Back in 2001, when I first moved to the NY, this pair of Sony headphones was the piece of gear that kept my mind sane. Providing me enjoyable subway rides, walks at the park, and especially protecting my ears from brother-in-law late night techno music sessions. Read more

  1. Accurate, revealing headphones

I am a professional voice over artist and wanted some headphones that were more accurate than my 10 year old on-the-ear model. I am primarily interested in how the voice sounds, since I don't do any audio mixing. These headphones enable me to hear the different tone and sound that results from different mic placements. I was never able to hear this before on either my old headphones or my monitor speakers. Read more

I do voiceovers and use these headphones, which are the very best. I bought them because I heard the same thing from others. They are just top notch and are at a great price point. Read more

These are a professional staple for good reason - comfortable, excellent isolation, and fairly accurate (especially for assessing dialog intelligibility). The ear pads tend to wear out, but are replaceable. Read more

Sony MDR7506 Headphone 5 I don't actually currently own a pair of these headphones, but I do have a pair on the way. I have used these on more than one occasion since my VJ700's decided to blow out on me. The sound quality is amazing and they are super comfy. If you are a dj and play long sets, you know how important this can be. They don't swivel quite like the VJ700s but the compromise is well worth it. Read more

Just purchased a pair from our local Guitar Center store. They actually had them cheaper than online sources. Anyway, I was looking to replace my Yaesu YH-55 head phones and needed something to enhance my FT-2000 audio. So far I am really impressed with their fit, audio quality and overall workmanship. For less than one hundred dollars, I have outstanding audio with a set of headphone that are extremely comfortable to wear for hours on end. Read more
