Sony Dynamic Stereo Headphones, MDR 7502

23 March 2014
 • Excerpt: I’m a serious music lover and I play synthesizer. So that I would not wake everyone at 3 AM with my latest paroxysm of musical genius, I bought a set of headphones so no one has to suffer but me. I chose Sony Dynamic Stereo Headphones, MDR 7502, professional grade. These headphones are very good. I have a crystal clear sound, no static, no lapses in performance and very good adaptability to the various bizarre things a synthesizer can produce.

 • Excerpt: I purchased a pair of these years ago, and the new ones perform just as the old ones did... stellar. I am hoping these do not suffer the same fate as those ones I had 25 years ago for radio broadcasting... vinyl deterioration on the ear muffs.
 • Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish

Beautiful sound

 • Excerpt: This is my first pair of professional-quality headphones and the difference between my usual ear buds and these are SO much better. The difference is staggering. The sound is beautiful, with a great deal of depth and texture, even if I'm just listening to background music on Pandora or something.

I haven't tried them out with video/audio editing yet, but I have high hopes.

Nice sound

 • Excerpt: Great headphones with nice sound. The earpads are a little bit small, so this can fatigue your ears, and also don't bend, so, this can be an issue if you plan to store in a small carrying case.
 • Pros: Durable, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight
 • Cons: Uncomfortable

 • Excerpt: The Good, great sound quality which I would expect from Sony.
The Bad,Very uncomfortable for long term wear, never found an adjustment that was comfortable!!
The Ugly,Right earpiece adjustment failed shortly after the return period lapsed. I have jury riggesd a fix using a rivet, poor at best.esetentially junk.

plenty of bang for the buck

 • Excerpt: I use these to monitor recordings of convention breakout meetings and other AV tasks. They sound very good and they're much more robust than the cheaper Sony cans I'd had before. I like the metal headband and the screw-on 1/4" adaptor that doesn't get "left behind" when I switch machines.

Classic Quality

 • Excerpt: I bought my first pair of MDR-7502 headphones in 1991, for the same price as now (2013). They are really unbeatable in accurate sound reproduction, without spending many times more. There is a reason the film industry continues to rely on these headphones for monitoring, they are truly great. Built to last too.

Great headphones

 • Excerpt: I use these for audio recording work. I find that some of the bigger and more expensive headphones press on my ear cartilage in a way that starts to hurt over time, and these don't. The sound is accurate through them, the fit is good - I can clearly focus me on the audio from the recording and not hear ambient noise in the room - and the price-to-quality ratio is good. Thumbs up from me.
