Sony have made folding headphones like this for some years and this model is, at the time of purchase, the current model. They sound OK for the price and are fairly robust, which is what I had expected from this product. The plug makes good contact on all the sockets I've tried it on. These are a good alternative to earbuds for carrying with your MP3 player or other portable device. (The nice thing about phones with a headband, besides the fact that they don't keep falling out of your ears, is that you can take them off and leave them around your neck -- no dangling). They fold up easily and are lightweight. The sound quality is very acceptable -- clear trebles, sufficient bass for a realistic sound from the cello section. I don't like "boom" music so... Read more
