Summary: A very good headphone , fills a niche in my collection being quite Bass heavy as opposed to my other day-to-day headphone the Senn HD595.
It is a very comfortable can , with very good quality faux leather for the ear cups , but it can get sweaty at times.
The sound quality when amped is superb and is only marginally different when used via Bluetooth, so close in-fact that if it weren't for the stuttering when changing tracks on my iPhone 5 I wouldn't notice.
Pros: Good Passive Insulation + Comfort , Good sound quality amped +un-amped , Very stylish and solid
Cons: Not a metal headband as appears, Bluetooth causes some initial delay on every song played , Mic not sensitive enough for Siri / Android commands
Summary: I am writing this quick review after about 20 minutes of use so I hope I am not jumping the gun, but after trying 5 other head phones (sennheiser momentum and amperior, Vmoda M100, the new PSB and the bowers & wilkins P5) I could not find quite what I was looking for. Each had something I did not like about them. Today these Sony's arrived and I was instantly in love. I thought I was going to settle on the Vmoda's but in my opinion these blow them away.
Summary: I recently got the 1RBT because I had a couple of Sony vouchers, and I have to say, while I am still uncertain of it's full retail price, I do really love this pair of headphones. The retail price is $498 Singapore Dollars.
My experience with headphones were on the lower-end Grados and AKGs.
Pros: Interesting sound, easy Bluetooth setup, comfortable in cool climates
Cons: Interesting sound, sweaty ears in hot climates
Summary: Very high quaality headphones. Connects easily in seconds, easy to set up. 35 hours playing time. Sound quality is amazing, you will be lost with the clarity of music, crystal clear performance. Good position of the handling buttons. Just take it and enjoy....
Summary: Very good sound quality, deep bass, very good midle and high, crispy sound. They fit my head very well. I use them with phone and PC through bluetooth. I would recommend to every one who likes good sound quality.
Summary: I took delivery of the Sony MDR1RBT headphones yesterday and they sound terrible. I therefore fail to understand the reviews praising the sound quality. I've only used them for 3 or 4 hours. Do they require running in? If so, for how long and by how much is the sound quality likely to improve? Ps I've been using them with an iPad 4 with music sourced from Spotify Premium. Edit: After using them for several more hours, the sound quality remains poor.
Summary: If you really want bluetooth, then from my experience it would be hard to beat these. These are probably the first bluetooth headphones where I wouldn't notice that I'm streaming audio from bluetooth rather than wired. Range seems to be very good allowing me to roam the house when the phone is charging without any drop off in connection.
Excerpt: thanks pixmania fast delivery by ups...i live in ireland i got them in 24 hours after purchased.. about the sony MDR-1RBT one word when you open the box (WOW!!!).. they re simply perfect ..bass..evrything..i love them expansive ..yeah ..but you wont regret..
Pros: i received them 2 days ago .they are simply the best wire headphones u can ask for.bass.sounds quality.very good looking...fast delivery aswell..
Summary: I've had these headphones now for around 4 months - I've not had a better set of headphones at all. These have blown any previous headphones I've had out of the water and I prefer Sony products over many others. I've had a range of music played from these and have been in the office listening to music at a very high volume with my colleagues not affected in the slightest.
Summary: When these arrived I noticed they didn't have a CE marking and the box said "for the Chinese market only" thinking that Sony would not have a global standard this didn't bother me. Like all Bluetooth devices they suffer from most of the "classics" like a slight blip before a new steam & occasional drop-outs.
