Sony MDR-10RNC headphones

  • Summary: This is clearly a case of an impressive beginning, and then things not carrying forward from there. We always clarify that any reviews related to sound are extremely subjective, and in the case of the MDR-10RNC, there are some positives and equally some negatives. The snug fit itself cancels a considerable amount of noise, and the additional NC benefit is an incremental benefit.
  • Pros: Snug and comfortable fit, Noise cancelation analysis, Replacement cable in box, Bass isn’t overpowering
  • Cons: Instances when mids and vocals aren't well defined, No auto-off for NC

  • Conclusion: The Sony MDR-10RNC noise-cancelling headphones eliminate much of the ambient noise around you, but their audio performance isn't quite on par with the competition.
  • Pros: Quality active noise cancellation. Can output audio in passive mode. Includes two detachable audio cables including one with inline remote and mic. Very comfortable.
  • Cons: Audio needs more presence in high-mids and highs. No auto power-off feature. Runs on AAA battery rather than rechargeable option.
