The DR-BT50 from Sony is a closed-back headset featuring wireless Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. The headset includes support for the A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP Bluetooth profiles. With A2DP and AVRCP, the user can control and listen to their music in full spectrum stereo sound wirelessly. The Sony DR-BT50 also has a built-in microphone, allowing the headset to be used with voice calls.

The DR-BT50 is available in a black color scheme and weighs approximately 6 ounces. It has a built-in lithium ion rechargeable battery that takes about 2.5 hours to charge to full capacity. On a single charge, the DR-BT50 has a rated music playback time of 17 hours, talk time of 17 hours and approximately 600 hours on stand by. An AC charger as well as a soft travel case is included in the box.

This stereo Bluetooth headset has an adjustable headband to ensure a comfortable fit as well as generous padding on both the headband and the ear pads. On the outside of the ear cup are control buttons that allow the wearer to adjust volume levels, control music playback (play, stop, forward and rewind) as well as folder navigation buttons for use with compatible devices. Buttons are also provided for handling voice calls. When a call comes in, the DR-BT50 will conveniently pause the music and resume once the call is ended.

The DR-BT50’s inner ear cup features Sony’s “auranomic” design which positions the drivers at a natural angle to the ears; enhancing the sound quality.
