Good earphones to have on hand.

Jayhyun K., Newegg
10 April 2012
  • Summary: No static electricity as earlier reviews noted lol. A little bit heavy, but you don't feel it until you really notice.
  • Pros: Metal coating on the actual buds for durability $35 on Newegg. Pro or con, but very decent pair of earphones for under $50 11mm driver for stronger output and durability Really strong and full, but modest bass Sharp midtones Gold-plated jack as opposed to the regular metal on the cheaper As with ...
  • Cons: Not a right-angle jack. A lot of people don’t care, but rt angle jacks are usually a lot stronger and take less pressure. So the jack doesn’t fray or bend as much. Leaves something to be deserved in highs and lows. I don’t think it stands as much as rival Sennheiser CX200 which is $25 on Newegg. ...

Shocks are static electricity up the wire grounding through your ears

Brian M., Newegg
2 April 2012
  • Pros: JZ - You are getting a shock because the wire is swinging around and building up a static charge and then discharging through your ears. You can do this without them even plugged into a device. It will subside when the humidity goes up and winter ends.
  • Cons: No cons

Not Good

Justin Z., Newegg
30 March 2012
  • Summary: If you are masochistic, then you will enjoy these headphones.
  • Pros: Good audio range and sound quality.
  • Cons: These things occasionally give me a shock in my ear! I thought it was static electricity at first, but now i know it is defective wiring in one of the earbuds. Also, sometimes the volume is out of balance from left to right.

Good Deal

Joshua M., Newegg
14 February 2012
  • Pros: The sound quality was good for the price even though i have purchased headphones for much less and didn't notice a HUGE difference. The real catch for me here was that they are a great deal more durable than cheaper headphones and when mine broke they replaced them for free WAY after they were co...
  • Cons: If I am going to spend $40 for headphones it makes me just want to go ahead and pay $100 to get really great headphones. The warranty and durability makes this con easy to ignore though.

  • Summary: if you want a high quality with amazing sound long lasting and economic ear-buds you should buy these!
  • Pros: these earbuds are awesome! i've owned them for a very long time and i can say they are tough built and deliver excellent sound quality and they are very loud!. they got stepped on twice and one side split in 2, i put it back together and still worked perfectly! the wire is very twist resistant. i...

Good value

Paul B., Newegg
1 January 2012
  • Summary: I like my earphones to have a flat response across the audio spectrum. Normally I listen to Klipsch Image S4s, which display the reproduction characteristics I like (plus they're very comfortable). I purchased these Titans for my son.
  • Pros: No distortion anywhere across the audio spectrum. Sound entirely contained - those sitting next to you will not be disturbed. Retail packaging intelligently designed - the stereo plug is prominently displayed, for those who don't know a 2.5mm from a 3.5mm plug. Nice carry case. The wire is close ...
  • Cons: Bassy. A little too tight in my ears but maybe I don't have them sized correctly yet.

Sound great if . . .

William R., Newegg
23 December 2011
  • Summary: If you've lost sound in one or more channels, check the screen for earwax buildup. If it's clogged, you can CAREFULLY remove the screen with a sharp-ponted tool; it may fix the problem.
  • Pros: Acoustically these are a good value. Apart from one channel going out due to earwax buildup (see cons) we've had no durablility issues with them. Note that unless you have these positioned in your ear just right, they will sound extremely thin.
  • Cons: As others have noted it's hard to tell left from right. Also, these earbuds - like most earbuds - are fitted with a metal screen to protect the speaker. As dirt and earwax build up on that screen it will reduce output (this has happened to us on 5 different paids of Skullcandy earbuds). See below...

Worked great for a couple months

Brett Z., Newegg
20 December 2011
  • Summary: Go for a higher quality brand.
  • Pros: Sound Quality, Noise reduction, nice case it comes in but thats about all I can say about them
  • Cons: Aside from the fragile foam buds and all... the actual construction of these are incredibly cheap and fragile. As I was walking one day (approx 3-5 months after purchase) it felt as if one was somehow falling out, went to readjust to find half it was hanging out because the glue had seperated fro...
