Summary: Pro's: Great sound quality, it cancels outside sound perfectly, the mic works like a charm Con's: the Chord is awkwardly located and if you put any pressure on it, it makes a static sound I expected a better product from Skullcandy
Summary: Laptop users: beware. This headset has issues with computers. You see, on a smart phone, (such as an iPhone and Android) you can use the microphone without the entire mess of wires that came with the headset. For some reason, that doesn't translate to PC. You are forced to use all the wires if you want to talk with your headset. Of course, the sound works perfectly with just one wire. But the fact I can't use my mic is really disappointing.
Summary: The sound from these headphones is good; it's like having a sound system in a pair of headphones, but there are too many wires, which always seem to get in the way of holding the game controller. Also, the control used for adjusting sound is not user-friendly, particularly when playing in a dim or dark room. Unable to see, I keep forgetting in which direction to nudge the toggle to adjust game sound versus chat sound.
Summary: UPDATED! Using RAZER Surround sound software these are better for pc than console. Some background I take my gaming seriously been online gaming for over 17 years so when I seen audiophiles making claims on these that they are indeed gaming headphones I had to test it. I wasn't as impressed... " Are these guys actually gamers or professional reviewers? Just tried the Skull Candy Slyrs. Not bad but definitely not for serious playing.
Summary: I give this headset a 3/5, but don't get me wrong, the headset works well. It's the lack of customization and features this headset has that brings it down. I would say, for the price, you could get a better headset (ie... g35, Siberia V2...). Also, the earcups are a bit too small for my taste, as they do not go over your ear, but on top.
