Skullcandy isn't interested in wooing customers with over-engineered gadgetry or lengthy descriptions of active noise reduction. Skullcandy is all about active noise destruction!rubbing out background sounds with massive bass and ample volume. These are some pretty loud headphones. Indeed, they are also pretty fun headphones. The bass vibration settings add a little bit of eardrum punishing thump to your musical experience. Read more

    • Basstastic!, Excellent bass vibration feature, Lightweight, comfortable and very portable, Handy adapter goodies
    • Muttled mid-range response, Not stellar for games and movies

When one thinks of pounding bass, one typically thinks of a home theatre system with a subwoofer that dwarfs most other lounge room components. However, with their Skullcrusher headphones, Skullcandy are trying to challenge this idea. As hard as it is to believe, the Skullcrushers actually contain a subwoofer, and our testing found it didn't do a bad job. Read more

I love these skullcrushers. The sound quality is amazing not to mention the bass in these are just retardedly loud!!!! Definitely best price for quality, and if I had to bet money, which I'm not a betting man, these are so much better than bose's especially for the price. I would definitely recommend to a friend. I bought this headphone for the 2nd time an hopefully these headphone will last me longer compare to my older pair, and the answer is NOPE, they last not even a month and the head adjustment BROKE on me. So from now on I stop buying skullcandy headphone (even with the lifetime warranty, I don't feel like getting a replacement for it, and EVEN if I do want a replacement for it, their skullcandy website is a PAIN to navigate through). These headphones match (and possibly surpass) those from another company that cost $100 or more. The in-line bass control lets you adjust the bass easily when moving from one song to the next. Even when turned up loud, the bass does not get all muddy as it does with similar headphones. If you like your headphones to vibrate when the bass hits, these are the phones for you! Read more

    • I bought them from a hardware store and paid $10 more than the price on Newegg. Still worth it.

The headphones have great sound, and the ability to adjust the tone of the music. Also, the design keeps everyone around you from hearing the music you're listening too. Read more

  • does the cushion goes around the ear or on the ear?

    Answered by soundfreak 2011-02-01:

yah, it usually goes around the ears, but if you have abnormally large ears, then your screwed. you wont have any noise canceling effect, or any bass retention. the cushion creates a sort of "seal" around your ear, creating pressure, which makes it sound

  • is it true that the headbands of skullcandy easily breaks?

    Answered by soundfreak 2011-02-01:

no, they dont break easily. that rumor was started by some jerk who accidentally dropped them from the cab of his jacked up redneck truck. if you drop them from a normal height, like 5-8 feet, they will

  • Do these headphones work with iPod touches?

    Answered by soundfreak 2011-02-01:

any pair of skullcandy headphones will work with any ipod, including the new ipod touch. they use a 3.5 mm jack, and that is the standard size for ipods, and most mp3 players. however, the skullcrushers come with an airline adapter, so you can even use it on an airplane. airplanes use 2 3.5 mm
