Excerpt: Worked great for few years, unfortunately the most common issue I have had with skullcandy's is the 3.5mm jack. Continuous plugging in/out has caused many pairs to quit one channel or contain cracked sound. Bummer cause I liked these and I'm not gonna solder a new jack on there. Been there done that. Peace!
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
Excerpt: Surprisingly great sound. Dj style foldable for easy storage when your not u using them. The built in microphone picks up your voice and not to much abienent sound. Not sure where they got the detachable cord idea, but makes me feel safer due to having previous cord issues with all headphones. The color was the last one available, bbut for the price can't go wrong. These sound better than my sony headphones I brought a while back. The middle sectio.
Summary: OK, so I didn't buy the purple ones really. In fact I didn't buy Skullcandy headphones at all. They were given to me FREE with a mobile phone contract, and as a result, I dismissed them as a cheap freebie giveaway pair of nonsense rubbish. Mistake. When my partner, who had taken the same mobile phone contract six months earlier, finally started using these Skullcandy Lowrider Black headphones, also free, I didn't even ask for a try. Because they were free.
Summary: First off, I've had these for over two years now. They have lasted longer than the FYE that I bought them from. Remember that Skullcandy has released new versions of the Lowriders so those may be "generation 2's" while mine (being bought two years ago) are "generation 1's". Anyway, here's my two pennies:
They really bring out the highs (specifically while listening to James Blunt :)
Pretty cool looking
Loud enough to get glares from...
Summary: Skullcandy purple set of headphones.. Extremely light..They fold for handy storage, but seem a little delicate..Nice sound quality..Slight tightness at the ears when wearing them, but not as tight on the ears as I found with previous headphones..These look nice and the sound cannot be heard very much by anyone standing nearby when they are being worn.
Pros: even better on person and beautiful colour, dont look like the picture are different in person
Summary: Been using a pair of these for almost a year. Not used them as portable as they fit loose and flop flat on my desk when laid down. Only sign of wear in twelve months is tiny (edge) areas of worn paint; they've been surprisingly durable. Soundwise, they're better than some bins twice the price. Good level of bass for movies and comfortable to wear for hours.
