skull candy

headphones?, Staples

  • Excerpt: Surprisingly great sound. Dj style foldable for easy storage when your not u using them. The built in microphone picks up your voice and not to much abienent sound. Not sure where they got the detachable cord idea, but makes me feel safer due to having previous cord issues with all headphones.

Get them they're worth it

Isaac C., Newegg
21 January 2013
  • Summary: I have a case that works just as fine maybe a littke bit above.
  • Pros: Great sound, color, cord lengh (3.9 ft), comfortable, lifetime warrenty, great base. I use them for listening to music on the pc so I get my fair share of all kinds of music especially rap, dubstep/techno, and rock.
  • Cons: No case and get to loud but thats my fault for putting the max volume.

Awesome heaphones.

Chris D., Newegg
9 February 2012
  • Summary: I've always heard good things about Skullcandy, and these live up to the hype, for an economy model. I listen to metal/rock and the speakers can handle the punishment. I just wish the mic had an optional jack for pc input, but that isn't a deal breaker, since i use them primarily for my ipod touch.
  • Pros: Very good sound quality, and well constructed. 'Anti-tangle' cable is always nice to have Comfortable after extended use. (no 'raw ear' irritation) They are collapsible for easy storage. Works wonderfully with skype on my ipod
  • Cons: The cord is a tad shorter than I previosly thought. No mic when using them on the pc (oversight on my part)

Good phones, misleading info

Ian T., Newegg
6 January 2012
  • Summary: You should really explain that this product is meant for smart phones only. With only one 1/8" plug i can not use the microphone on my computer, which is why i bought them. However, my fiancee can use them so no hard done.
  • Pros: high quality headphones, good bass sound and great noise. In line mic is for phones.
  • Cons: Only one port, not meant for computers.

Almost perfect.

Carolyn F., Newegg
8 September 2011
  • Summary: I really wish the cord was longer. The old sony headphones I had came with 6.6ft and these are much shorter. I had to purchase a cord extender because I use these on the computer and not with an iPhone or the like. So please take a look at how much cord you are really going to need in your set up.
  • Pros: These headphones are very comfortable with great audio clarity. The heat shrink on the ends is all even and should last for awhile. I was using some sony studio headphones and these blow them out of the water with how crystal clear the sound is and how deep the bass is when listening to anything ...
  • Cons: The padding at the top is a little hard at first and takes some getting use to but after a few hours you will not notice anything. I was somewhat disapointed when I was looking at the box and it stated that I should have a travel bag included. There was no travel bag :( The travel bag was no list...

Awesome for the price.

William E., Newegg
24 November 2009
  • Summary: You can't go wrong with 'em. They're cheap enough to buy to take on the road with you, durable enough to go with you, and on top of it all, have splendid sound quality that will please all but the most discriminating audiophiles.
  • Pros: I got these from the campus computer store for a few dollars cheaper than from the 'Egg. They're darn good headphones for the price, and for those worried about longevity, with moderate use they'll last a good, long time. I've been wearing mine since Feb. 2008, and they sound incredible. I listen...
  • Cons: The only thing to go wrong with my pair of Lowriders is that the little piece of rubber holding the wire together (where it splits to go to each speaker) came off. This caused the entire wire to split apart right down to the connector. I didn't want to throw them out, so I simply knotted the wire...

Sound great

Anonymous, Newegg
29 August 2009
  • Summary: Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I got these at Target instead of Newegg because I didn't want to wait for shipping but they're the same exact pair of headphones. The lows are low, the highs are high, and everything in between is nice, crisp and clear.
  • Pros: These headphones sound VERY good. They're lightweight, look awesome and are very comfortable as well .. so I really hope my last concern is for naught .. and that would be longevity/durability. I've heard from some that Skull Candy ... while they are very nice .. tend to die easily. It's possible...
  • Cons: Not sure if it's a con or not, but as I said above.. they are very light. To the point of almost feeling fragile. Not sure if they really ARE .. but I am definitely going to be extra careful how I handle these and handle the plug as well because I would hate for these to die on me. The cord is wh...
