Summary: While I have the earbud version, theres no doubt in my mind that Skullcandy is here to stay. Great sound and comfortable feeling in your ears is what the selling points that they give, and they dont disappoint either. Will definitely recommend these pair and any pair of the Skullcandy line that they have, and with the price thats very affordable, this makes it even comparable to Sennheiser, which I highly recommend as well.
Skullcandy Lowrider: Good quality, compact headphones
25 July 2010
Summary: I have the same lowrider headphones that are shown in the picture above. My mum got me them for Christmas last year as I'd been bugging her about getting me a pair because I thought they were so cool. When I got them I was very surprised at how small they fold up - the earphones move, and there are hinges in the head band that fold in too. The earphones are of very high quality, the sound is never distorted even if I have my music up quite loud.
Pros: fold up for carrying about, lightweight, good quality
Summary: I was given a set of these headphones by my fiance for Christmas last year, after I wouldn't stop going on about how cool the headphones looked and how much I wanted a pair. I would not buy something so expensive for myself, so I was made up when I opened these up on Christmas day. The precise pair that I have are the Skullcandy Lowrider MFM White and they cost £34.99 instore from HMV. I would say this price is rather cheap considering how well these headphones perform.
Pros: Good value for money, fold up, brilliant sound quality, fantastic design
Skullcandy Lowrider: Exceptional Headphones at an Exceptional Price
4 July 2010
Summary: Recently, my preferred set of headphones broke, so I scoured the internet for a pair of headphones that would be the perfect replacement- good sound quality, reliable and with a reasonable cost. I found these headphones on amazon and the specification matched exactly what I needed. I'm always a bit apprehensive about buying personal items on the internet, but when my headphones arrived, they were as perfect as they sounded.
Summary: I purchased these headphones in September, 7 months ago and, unlike other Skullcandy headphones (particularly the 'Inkd' earphones), they have not yet broken! These headphones have very good sound quality and an equally good build quality, despite not feeling so well produced due to the hinges for folding them, which is a very clever and well implemented idea, feeling a bit loose and floppy.
Excerpt: "I highly recommend these headphones to anyone that likes comfortable and easy listening. The headphones have four mushy pads. One for each ear and two for the top of your head. They are adjustable so they can fit any head size. The cords do not get easily tangled (finally!). The design is great and they come in many different colors. Price Tip: I recommend going to Office Depot for these. There, you can get them for 9.99 instead of the price here. ...
Pros: comfortable padding, great sound, design is good, overall perfect
If these break, try an old pair of airline headphones

Excerpt: "...I had previously read about Skullcandy were not great. I only used these headphones once in order to ‘try them out’, but I think that once is once too many. Behind the garish looks, the product feels cheap, poorly assembled and flimsy. While you may say that most headphones are flimsy, this is a cheap product and this is reflected in the build quality but not in the price. To pay £40 for these headphones is criminal. The sound is tinny, with very ...
Excerpt: "I bought these headphones when the inevitable happened and the nice shiny white bud headphones that came free with my ipod fell to pieces. I actually got them on the recommendation of a friend who has the green metallic. I shopped around (which is worth doing), and managed to get them from just under £30 from zavvi, as it was when they were going into administration and everything was going a bit cheaper. I think HMV have them at the moment for £32 ...
Excerpt: "...reproduction and so on. The Skullcandy has a great range of quality headphones and most of them are reasonably priced. Now it’s quite pertinent to ask why not go for the best. There are two main factors:a) The price. 2) The necessity of requirement. Bose makes great headphones but their deletion from list of brands is automatic. (On both counts). At around £26 it’s definitely quality available at a reasonable price. They are designed so intelligently, ...
Excerpt: "...for comfort. Despite saying this skullcandy headphones are probably the only brand which have exceptionally stylish headphones and offer them in such a variety of colours. In conclusion they are excellent headphones and I would strongly recommend them to someone who uses headphones in different areas and not just to sit down and listen to music. ...
Pros: Very stylish and offered in lots of different colours .
Cons: Comfort can bve a slight issue . compared to others .
