Nice sound, annoying cord

Jordan G., Newegg

  • Pros: Nice sound quality, easy fit earbuds. They fit nicely in my ears when so many others haven't.
  • Cons: The cord has a really good memory from when it was originally packaged, making it really hard for them to lay straight. They bunch up and that can be annoying

Great for the Price

  • Pros: These nicely priced buds fit my ears great. When correctly inserted they sound great, great bass. Mids and highs are good too! I primarily use them for rock in an office setting and desire to keep the inner office chatter drowned out to minimize distractions. It is no bother to wear these all day...
  • Cons: no case, I thought there was but I must have misread!

Nice quality, but didn't fit

Nathaniel K., Newegg

  • Summary: I had gotten a sandisk sansa clip mp3 player, and used it hard until the included cheap buds wore out. I went looking for new ones, and found these, but quickly realized it was a mistake to get them. Maybe it's just me, but these things were *way* too big.
  • Pros: Nice frequency response, but highs and extreme lows seemed to be over emphasized compared to most reference equipment. Physical construction was fairly good quality.
  • Cons: None really, just make sure you know what you're doing when you get in-canal buds

Does the job.

  • Summary: Great for gaming.
  • Pros: Works great for gaming and try's to handle 320kbps for music. I'm using them for gaming. Can handle some abuse, but like ANY earbud it is not impervious to distortion. Very cool looking and sharp.
  • Cons: Price. Can not handle 320kbps music very well.

Pretty good

William M., Newegg

  • Pros: Great sounding, and very nice. I personally love these. The bass is fine and sounds good, it's pretty comfortable in my ears too and for 20 bucks you cant go wrong.
  • Cons: They worked amazing for around 4-5 months but, randomly the left side went busted. :( The right is the only working side.

  • Summary: Buy them. Bottom line, it comes down to if you have the right ear shapes, seriously haha. The sound quality is unreal; that of which is the sole reason I bought them in the first place. They haven't let me down.
  • Pros: I really do like these headphones. Don't get me wrong, the sound quality is like no other. I listen to mostly rock/metal to hip-hop/rap, and they deliver. Most people say they have poor sound quality or it sounds flat; this mostly due to the fact that they don't know how to change the EQ settings...
  • Cons: I don't have anything negative to say about the build quality or sound quality of these headphones; but more of a problem I face myself. They just don't stay in my ears. My brother has the exact same pair (different color is all) and he goes mountain biking with them in and he doesn't have a sing...

cheap, and decent

Daniel M., Newegg
19 July 2011
  • Summary: After a week I accidentally pulled the wiring out of one of the speakers when I got it caught on something and tripped over the wire. Not Skullcandy's fault, but you can't abuse them.
  • Pros: Great price for what you get. The sound quality is really good. I bought these to drone out the wind from my open windows when I'm driving on the interstate, and they work great for that. I hear the bass is worse than other more expensive alternatives, but the bass sounds great to me.
  • Cons: They fit in the ear comfortably, but after several hours the plastic back of the plugs starts to hurt the outside of my ears where they touch. Maybe some wax will soften the edge.
