Summary: i got the headphones for free :D so thats a plus
Pros: great sound quality for the price and really nice base and doesn't lose sound quality when you turn it up all the way or the bass but these headphones are definitely made for techno dubstep stuff like that i mean you can listen to other songs but the treble is noticeable but the bass sorta stands on top
Cons: took them 1 year to ship i ordered these head phones with my computer and they ended up late so i canceled the order and we got are money back and i ordered some denon headphones instead they show up at my house a year later...
Excerpt: The sound quality is very good on these headphone, clear and good base. The headphones fit well without being to tight, there is nothing like listening to good music with your ears getting numb. The problem I usually have with head phone it that I walk away from the computer with them sill on , causing damage to the plug.
Excerpt: Bought this for my son. He loves the headset. Wish the plug that goes into the headset and then goes in to the computer was longer, only reason i gave it four stars instead of five. The headset it well made and very durable. And for my son who tends to get angry and throw his headset sometimes, this is a definite plus. The color is great and with everyday use it has held up. It is easy to wipe clean if need be.
Summary: So, I know a LOT of people may have experienced or heard about this... But I broke my hesh 2 months after I bought them... Well, hell yeah, I was desapointed... But not so much...
After continuing reading, I must say I'm from Guatemala and the warrantee doesn't apply to my country, but I gave a **** about it.
I couldn't misspend a speaker driver of 50mm and a 1.2m OFC cable...
Summary: Mild u-shape. Rather than going the XB500 route, it goes more for sub-bass extension, then mellows out in the higher bass/lower mids, roll offs where appropriate to keep the sound balanced, and smooth. Another roll off in the lower treble. Just a bit of sparkle.
Detail retrieval is inferior to some other 'phones in the price range. Superlux, and Grado have the Hesh beat in detail, and separation, and of course, headstage, open vs closed.
Pros: Detatchable cable, balanced sound.
Cons: Driver grattle. Surprisingly, only a problem with certain metal genres.
Excerpt: The SkullCandy Hesh are decent enough headphones. Bass is acceptable, and midrange is good. Highs are a little subdued. Cymbals especially weak. Its not enough to nix these at the price. But they are certainly not worth much more. Build quality is OK although I would say that I don't think I can wear them for hours at a time. They also marginally cut out background noise. So they have some isolation abilities.
