Summary: I've seen the Fix around with the standard SKDY set ups in RadioShack and other stores, but they were usually an unattractive 79.99$. I found them at TJ Maxx (Apparently always has Uptowns for 40$) and decided to throw the 15$ they were asking for them and try them out.
Pros: Incredible SS, Strong/Controlled Bass, Forward Mids, Soft/Present Highs, Attractive, Inline Mic does what it needs too..
Cons: A tad bit uncomfortable, stock tips are hard to properly seal, cable worries..
Summary: Ok where to start... I picked these up on sale for 20 bucks. I expected a bit from them since Skullcandy says they are worth $69.99. Let me tell you they are absolutely not worth that.... The monoprice 8320's sound much better than these so imho they are worth about 5 bucks.
Pros: Fit well, Come with decent carrying case.
Cons: Distorted bass, recessed mids, harsh treble and no detail, cheap cables and construction.
Summary: This is my first review on head-fi, I made an account just to review these earbuds. They completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered these with the refund I was given from the warranty on my skullcandy 50/50's on which one side cut out.
Pros: Great sound, great isolation, very comfortable
Excerpt: Famous for the garish over-ear headphones that adorn the snowboard and surf set, Skullcandy has come out a few of earbuds that stay true the brand’s roots, for better and worse. The Fix , like other Skullcandy models, hit hard with bass.
Pros: Bass outperforms peers in this price range. In-ear design mutes the bus, or suit from sales.
Cons: Fragile construction feels cheap, and ours weren’t that durable. Not much sound range, and upper frequencies are weak.
Excerpt: We’ve looked at a number of in-ear earbuds over the past months. There were the Yurbuds that won over Elana’s heart . (Okay they didn’t win her heart but they are the first earbuds she actually likes wearing!) Then there were the earbuds that took a shower with me.
Pros: Stay in during activity; priced under $70; include nice carrying case; has in-line mic and controls; sound decent
Cons: You have to love skulls to like these; sound okay but not GREAT!
