pretty good

  • Excerpt: I use this primarily as home studio headphones. My only concern are the protruding tiny wires that connect the headphone to the headband. They seem to be fragile and if accidentally snagged, then that's the end of the headphones.
  • Pros: Clear Sound

Very unremarkable

O E J, Amazon
22 November 2012
  • Summary: After several weeks of considering headphones from Audio Technica, AKG, Sony, Sennheiser, Beyer, Koss and Bose, I made an impulsive decision to buy a pair of Shure SRH440s because the price was attractive and I have positive past experience with the Shure brand with microphones and hifi cartridges.

Good quality audio but a problem with the design

Ian Bateson, Amazon
17 June 2012
  • Summary: The audio quality of these headphones is good, although not as remarkable as Shure claim it to be. The bass response is about right, good but not excessive, and good treble response that never sounds harsh. Therefore they are not suitable for those that just want bass, bass, and bass.
