  • Excerpt: I've had more than one now, and I think he has a good quality / price ratio. Excellent acute and medium, I just wish that there was not a chouilla more bass. I had a slight defect (the leather top of the headphone that is loose, but very simply with a screwdriver you can blow it back.

Great for tracking, not the best sound

  • Excerpt: I own these along with AKG K240 Studios. I first bought the K240's over these for the comfort along with the sound quality. While these sound very good they just don't match the clarity and smoothness of the semi open back AKG's. These are fully closed back so give you a sorta pressured feeling.

  • Summary: I have owned many pairs of headphones over the years and still have a yearning to experience listening to my music through different ones. I have owned some costing over £600 and some under £100 - you don't always get what you pay for.

  • Summary: Easily the best headphones I've owned. They can get a little uncomfortable after extended use though. they are big and solid which is fine. THere is little to no sound leakage either which is really very good. The headphones were delivered very quickly. Great price too!.

SRH440 - Just My Third Set

Michael Baldock, Amazon
12 February 2012
  • Summary: Just my third pair of moderately priced headphones in 35 years, I felt so cool at 18 wearing my first set of cans thanks to my parents, both pairs were excellent and seemingly lasted forever so these new Shure SRH440 have a lot to live up to!

Great sound at all levels!

Rikuo, Audiofanzine

  • Excerpt: My Sennheiser HD212pro having passed away, I decided to spend a higher speed, by paying me a real headphone (yet practical) for home (music, lounge, pc). I did not want to retry the experiment Senheiser (its too dark for my taste).
