Very good earphones, but not perfect

29 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I have an older Shure earphone that led me to purchase this pair. In both cases, I am a little disappointed in the bass response. If you find a good fit for the earphones, the sound is very good. I am torn between keeping these and paying more for the upgrade version that is supposed to have better bass.
  • Pros: Clear Sounding, Good value, No Noise Transfer In Cord
  • Cons: A Little Large In The Ear, Bass A Little Weak, Must Find Correct Fit

I like these ear buds

  • Excerpt: Use at gym while working out. These were bought to replace a pair of Shure ear buds that I had for maybe ten years. I like the new crushable foam ear pieces. Also, the cord is longer than a non-Shure pair I borrowed. Sound on new pair great. Fit good. Like the idea of being able to replace the cords if need be b/c that is part of the reason I needed to buy new ear buds.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound

Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones

R., earphonesolutions.com

  • Summary: Got these buds for a great price (shipping included) from earphonesolutions, the lowest price I have seen anywhere. Shipping was quick and service was efficient and courteous. My main observations about usage are as follows: 1. It takes about a week of continuous listening to break in these earbuds (yes they need to be broken in for good bass!).

Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones

Sergio, earphonesolutions.com

  • Summary: Good overall sound. Works great with my iPod. These earphones replaced a pair of Shure SCL3's I got in October 2008 that died. Pros: Sound quality. Replaceable cables. Clear cables and housing. Cons: Cable loops that go over your ears take a little getting used to.

Blows away any previous pair

Saul, B&H Photo
4 April 2012
  • Excerpt: These headphones are the next level for me. I had an old pair of Shure headphones which were already awesome, these are over the top for me. The fit is great, and the earbuds fit on my ear in such a low profile that I don't have to worry about knocking them out, or accidentally losing one. Absolutely worth the price--now I only need music with the right compression to hear what these baby's are capable of.

Durable, but not perfect fit.

  • Excerpt: Background: I have been buying SHURE earphones for the past 8-9 years. Yes, they are expensive, but for the most part I feel they have been 100% worth it. The "sound quality" has been superior, but most importantly (and the reason I am willing to pay top dollar for them) is because of the outstanding sound isolation they provide. I use my SHURE earphones to listen to my ipod at the gym, in airports/airplanes, jogging, at home... basically everywhere that is noisy.
  • Pros: Durable, Great Sound, Lightweight
  • Cons: Too Much Ambient Noise, Uncomfortable
