Shure E4c-n Sound Isolating Earphones

  • Summary: I somehow lost my E3Cs, so I searched CNET for the best reviewed headphones and came across the E4Cs. I'm so glad I went with them. Great sound for all kinds of music. These can handle any type of EQ, but I wouldn't recommend MAX Bass, although the bass on these is quite impressive. For the money, these blow the competition out of the water.

  • Summary: I received these earphones two days ago, and they didn't disappoint me! I was shocked by its strong wires at the first glance, maybe it's the sturdiest wires I have ever seen for a pair of earphones. I think it should be very to break them. As for the sound, it's awesome! I have purchased several earphones before. Most of them either present a much too strong bass, or have no bass at all! But these e4c earphones have good performances for both low and high frequency.

  • Summary: Great treble and midrange. Not so much bass. Isolates all noise around so you get a clean and natural sound. These are comfortable in the ears. I also have Shure se530 and e4c sound almost as good but not in the bass area. SE530 also has more crisp sound with more punch. looks cooler to.

  • Summary: I am in no way knowledgable enough to speak about the technical aspects of these earphones but I am able to speak as a consumer who searched for a long time to find the right ones. Found them! They are light and the sound can't be compared to what I was used to before. In fact, I find that sometimes the sounds of the real world are inferior when I take my earphones off after an extended use. I used to own Shure SE210-K and the Shure E4C sounds superior to me.

  • Summary: I don't know that I would pay this much for headphones again, but I am not at all disappointed with the quality. These earbuds sound great and are very crisp. There isn't as much bass response as some of the other earbuds out there, but at the same time, the balance between bass, mid and treble is almost perfect. I would recommend these earbuds to anyone in the market for a higher end listening experience.

  • Summary: Day and night difference between the EC4 and the standard headsets you get with the iPod...When I told my friends what I paid for these ear buds they scoffed at me and said they wouldn't be worth the price, UNTIL they tried them...I know one of them has ordered a pair so I am not certafiably crazy now...These EC4 were for my wife, and she is in heaven, that means so am I..Without a doubt worth the price....The service I got from Overstock was also as good..

  • Summary: Had these things for a while now, and still use them with almost anything that has a headphone jack attached to it.  My phone, my old iPod, my iPad, my pc, my laptop, and they always find a way to sound really wonderful.   I'm not gonna lie and say I'm some headphone guru.  I'm not.  But i LOVE headphones.  Cheap ones, expensive ones, gaming ones...i mess with them all.  I've owned grados, senns, sonys, denons, AKG's, Beyers..
  • Pros: Very detailed yet relaxed presentation with sub par inputs (like my phone or MacBook Pro)
  • Cons: For what they are, haven't really found any.

  • Summary: These are my go-to headphones when I don't want to use my customs.  They are easy to wear, sport all-day comfort, provide reasonable isolation-- to excellent if you buy the foam inserts, and are a full-range in-ear monitor lacking very little, and a steal for the price.  I own 3 pairs.   I keep a pair of these in my bag at all times.  They come in a round zippered case that's quite protective and unzip in a second.
  • Pros: Great sound, terrific comfort
  • Cons: Not many.
