Excerpt: Great headphones. Good midrange tone. Good for a budget buyer.I have tried many different sets of headphones and for the price these are the best for the price point. These also work well for budget in ear monitors for musicians. I highly recommend these and they work beautifully with an iPhone.
Summary: The product itself is wonderful. I couldn't ask for more out of my 100 bucks. I used the bose in-ear ones before but then they broke so I went and tried shure. they are AWESOME! The midtones are well balance and the bass is just right w/o tweaking the eq that much. As far as shipping goes, it took 10 days to get to me (east to west coast) so it was a little irritating that it took that long.
Summary: I started out thinking about getting the Bose ear buds. I didn't buy them because of the fact they don't seal off in your ear to block out other sounds. I found this set and did a lot of reading reviews and found this set to be the best value at around $110. For the money, the sound is excellent. Very clear sound that doesn't over-do treble or bass.
Summary: I was torn between these and the new SE210s. I used to own a pair of these and loved them. And that first pair was $200, and well worth it. Also owned a pair of e2-c's. Always preferred the sound and the feel of these over the e2-c. At present Amazon prices, the cost of these e3-cs are about the same as the old cost of the e2-c's, so the value is there.
When comparing these to the SE210s, I opted for these for two reasons:
1. These were familiar to me
Summary: These are my second set of Shure e3's. My first pair lasted over 2 years before I forgot them on an airplane :/
The fit in my ears is great. The sound-isolating properties are key to the performance. I am so very happy with this purchase. The earphones bring a smile to my face when I listen to my music through them.
Summary: Literally these arrived just this morning and I am listening as I type. They are awesome! I could not have believed music could sound so good. For the purpose of this review, I will divide up my comments into strengths and weaknesses. In strengths I will look at ISOLATION, SOUND QUALITY, OVERALL QUALITY, COMFORT and ACCESSORIES. For the weaknesses (if I find any!) will be outlined as best I can. Please bear in mind that I am by no means an audiophile or muscian.
Summary: The Sure E3c headphones came in a very elegant package that made me think this was more flash than audio quality. The box and materials were first rate. No expense spared here. My first impression of the sturdy cables was positive because I hate those think cables that can get mangled easily in a zipper. The Sure's cables speak quality and durability. The phones come with several ear fittings. I use the smallest grey sleeves.
Excerpt: "...thses units can be fitted. Shure actually reccommend this for a perfect fit. They also supply a number of differant sizes of ear plug to fit onto the speaker stem so try all sizes until a nice fit is achieved. These rubber plugs do tend to get a little dirty with a lot of use but can be cleaned with a weak soapy solution. Overall a brilliant earphone with excellent sound qualities although fitting into the ear can be a bit of a struggle but can ...
Excerpt: "Had these earphones for a year now and they have been fantastic. The sound quality can only be beaten by the E4C or E5C. Very good tone and bass range. The only two minor negatives i could suggest is that the small cylindrical end piece of the earphone is removable and may snap off causing damage if you dont use the supplied protective case! (If they do snap off, use Loctite superglue). The other point is that they can become quite dirty if not regularly ...
