Shure E3c

PC Magazine
6 October 2006
  • Excerpt: These comfortable ear-canal headphones provide airy, accurate audio response with slightly punchy bass. You can use them with an amp, but they don't need one. Rubber tips block external noise, though not as well as the Etymotic's flanged design.

  • Conclusion: More important is the way the E3c always brought us closer to the music. Playing CDs we've listened to countless times, we were constantly finding new details and gaining further insight into the songs. The E3c is an audiophile's delight.
  • Pros: Not for fans of bass-heavy music, Uncomfortable for some
  • Cons: Pro-style earbud headphones, Effective seals provide ambient-noise isolation, Excellent sound quality, Storage pouch, 30-day money-back guarantee, Two-year warranty

Shure E3C Sound Isolating Musician's Earphones

Pocket Lint
20 December 2004
  • Conclusion: The need to cut ourselves off has never been greater. It's not just when travelling that we want to relax in peace. With more and more people tuning into their own personal media devices, being able to shut out the rest of the world helps retain some sanity, not to mention relationships with your nearest and dearest. Shure's EC3s are perfect for losing yourself in music, or a video, but at a price.
  • Pros: Fantastic sound experience
  • Cons: Expensive and gives you sore ears for the first day or so
