Summary: I've tried numerous headphone solutions over the years with my Xbox 360. I've tried inexpensive headphones connected to a amplifier, wireless gaming headphones, and these. These, by far, have been my favorite. There are two things I consider equally important when using headphones: comfort and sound quality. COMFORT: These headphones feel great. First, they are light.
Summary: Let me begin by telling you that my reviewers were age 12 and his 3 college age brothers. The 12 year old was able to set the headset up 1-2-3 on his Xbox. Immediately, he brought it to me to hear the sound. "Wow" for two reasons: Comfortable headset and incredible sound. I was in love! I am glad we had the opportunity to try these out and give a review. I know that I would NEVER have spent that much money on a headset before now.
Summary: I really like this headset, considering this is my first one. Before purchasing an expensive electronic, I do a decent amount of research and I liked the reviews on the previous Sharkoon headsets, so I took a chance on the SR. Despite all the cables (especially on the Xbox, but that's a given for any USB powered headset), they don't really get in the way of gaming. The headphone cups fit perfectly over my ears and the cushion over the headband is great.
Summary: This is my first pair of gaming headset. I was expecting the headset to be bulky, but they turned out to be compact, sturdy, and light. The set-up was relatively easy and I was impressed with the sound quality. The microphone is flexible and can be detached. The cables are nice and long enough so you don't have to move things around. Overall, I found this headset to be a great value.
Summary: I have been in the market for a set of headphones for a couple of months now. My wife is fed up trying to get to sleep with the sound of gunfire or tires screeching coming from the living room. I was fed up trying to play games with the volume on my surround sound system set to 3. In my research I narrowed it down to either the Sharkoon X-Tatic SR's or the Turtle Beach x41's.
Summary: These headphones are truly amazing. I had a Sony 5.1 surround before these, which I thought would be hard to beat, but these do it. They are crystal clear and the bass is quite surprising. Of course, it is no sub woofer, but they hit the low frequencies just as well as the high ones. The directional sound is amazing.
Summary: The Sharkoon X-Static SR headset is a really nice option in this price range. Setup: The box comes with a lot of wires but you probably wont use all of them as they are specific to each system. This is daunting only if you ignore the instruction booklets, which are excellent, and the labels on each cable, also excellent.
Summary: Let me admit upfront that I am not a diehard gamer. I thought I would give them a try since friends rave about how headphones add a whole new dimension to video game playing. After trying this pair out, I have to agree so let the fun begin! Easy to follow directions are included for connecting these headphones to your desktop computer, tablet pc, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. I tried everything but Xbox 360 and I had no connectivity issues.
Nice positional audio for the money but bulk is an issue

Cons: Sound can be a bit too "crisp" without adequate bass to offset. Also, these are wired, and there are a lot of wires. Wire to my USB port. Wire to my headphone jack/optical input. Wire to my microphone jack.
