Summary: I am hearing impaired and previously owned a 36" Sony Trinitron TV with a built-in wireless headphone set which was excellent. I purchased a new Sony 47" LCD and needed remote hearing for it so my wife could watch the TV to her sound requirements. I first tried a set of Rockefishe wireless headphones that were extremely uncomfortable to the ears after about an hours use. I bought these Sennheiser wireless headphones and fell in love with the comfort.
Summary: I purchased these for an office environment. It's possible the many wireless networks were creating some kind of interference? I'm not sure. But in any case, the headphones rarely traveled more than 2-3' away from the transmitter. There was always a mild to moderating buzzing or hissing (or whining?) in the headphones. The transmitter is smart enough to "open the channel" to the headphones only when there's sound to play.
Summary: I purchased these headphones to use with my Samsung TV. I could not connect them to the TV due to the receiver not having a way to connect other than RCA. I am using them with my stereo which has RCA connections. I am very satisfied with them for that use, and I am disappointed about not being able to use them with the TV.
Pros: Sound is great and it is very comfortable
Cons: No HDMI connection or any way to connect to a TV except through RCA cables
Summary: Love this unit. It is comfortable with great sound quality and i can use it all over my house (3300sqft) without loosing the sound. The only negative is the volume control buttons are too small/close together to operate them on your head. You need to remove them to make adjustments.
Summary: This is the best headphone set I have EVER bought for my husband, he had 2 other sets before this one. He is 83 years old and is very hard of hearing, but when I set the volume control for him, he had to have me turn it DOWN! When I had the TV on mute, *I* could hear the volume through the headset when he took it off for me to talk to him. He does not listen to music, these are used only for TV. These are DEFINITELY worth the money!!
Summary: Nice little headset. The first time I used it, I jumped out of my seat because I heard someone yelling in the background and though someone had come in my house. It turned out the surround sound was making the background voices in the movie seem very real. That was pretty cool. I can walk around the house with these on and still receive the signal without inturruption. There are probably better quality surround sound headphones out there but not at this price range.
Pros: Sound Quality, Long range
Cons: Buttons not so easy to play with while headset is on your head
Summary: I've only had these head phones for about a month so I can't really give a full review on them at this point. However the sound quality is really good along with the surround sound (not the best I've had but good) but the comfort level is really bad. You can only really use them for a couple of hours before they start to hurt the top of your head no matter how much you adjust them.
Pros: Surround sound is pretty good.
Cons: Not very comfortable for listening over a couple of hours.
Summary: I use hearing aids and when I watch the tv after the wife goes to bed, she can hear it very easily since I always have the volume up pretty high. Now, even she will pull out the headphones from behind the flat panel and turn on the unit; then she hands the headphones to me. I turn the hearing aids down to a low setting and then turn the headphones on (batteries are recharged on the stand); mute the tv and I can adjust the volume to my satisfaction.
Summary: I have only operated this device for about a week. Transmitter and earphone receiver is very good. I can hear headphones in every room in my 4500 sq. ft. home and outside on driveway and patio. Just a little disappointed in sound quality. I was expecting better performance given the price.
Pros: Great operating instructions and well built transmitter.
Summary: I don't think these headphones sound or fit different then the Sony's I had for about 12 years. I would have kept the Sony pair, but the ear pieces were starting to shred, that said these new headphones once you put them on they drown out most of the outside sound, the voices on tv shows and movies are real clear. I did'nt like the price but I did want to get a good pair.
