I would but this again

  • Excerpt: I use the product primarily for TV viewing in bed in order to not disturb my wife. I also found myself using them for more music listening. I find them very comfortable and light. It's quite fun to be able to walk to the kitchen from the living room and not miss a beat...literally. My only gripe is that the buttons on the headphones are too close together and that you may accidently turn them off during listening. Otherwise great product.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Configure, Lightweight
  • Cons: Control buttons to small

Great Headphones

Joe M, Crutchfield

  • Summary: Great headphones. Paired two to a tower without issue - about a week later they disassociated, but I have two little kids so who knows the culprit. Paired to other tower and now they work fine again. Only con: closed ear is not the best choice for those who need to monitor surroundings.

Expensive but worth it.

  • Excerpt: Originally got the DS6000 but had to return it because of interference with my wireless. Bought two. Use 1 tower as as transmitter for both. Keep it behind my TV. Use the other tower for charging both the headsets. The controls take a little getting used but definitely worth the price. Pros: 1. Absolutely no interference with my wireless routers and microwave's. 2. Easily add more multiple head sets. 3. Excellent sound. Cons: 1. Auto/off but no Auto/on. 2.
  • Pros: Durable, Good Bass, Great Sound
  • Cons: Uncomfortable

Wouldn't hesitate to buy again!!

  • Excerpt: I first bought the SONY MDR-DS6000's to replace my Sennheiser RS130's ...one word about the Sony Headphones-Disappointed! These Sennheiser RS 170's reproduce sounds very clearly with powerful bass and have long range (the Sony's were cutting in/out at about 15 feet-despite what they claim.) This is my second pair of Sennheiser...I have not been disappointed. I'm sure you will agree!
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Great Sound, Lightweight, Long Range Wireless, Stylish

Great headphones

  • Summary: Instructions manual is on CD supplied, but you can also download it previously to receipt of headphones from Crutchfield on "Download owner's manual" or from Sennheiser website. Sound is great for wireless phones, works good around the house with minimal or no notable distortion. It takes a while to charge it the first time (+24 hours) but subsequent charges take less time (less than 8 hours). Lightweight headphones so you will not feel then. Bass and surround are great.

Sennheiser RS 170

Denny, Crutchfield
21 February 2010
  • Summary: The first thing that I do when I get a new product is read the operation manual. This Sennheiser product doesn't have one. They include a CD instead. My PC wouldn't read the CD. Apparently this has something to do with auto start being disabled. I have never had this problem before. Manual starting of a DVD/CD is usually just a click. I found the manual online at Sennheiser's website.

Bigals bits & pieces - wireless headfones

bigal, Amazon
  • Summary: These appeared to be everything I wanted, (I would have gone for the RS 180 but they are open backed-so not as quiet to those around you). Unfortunately, they were not for me due to the fact I need to use them whilst in the garden/garage approx. 20/30m away from transmitter, but after 10m through 2 walls they just cut out.
