Summary: Great while they worked, only lasted 11 months after careful treatment then the sound went, a lot of crackling and the volume button stopped working. Sent them under warranty for repair to the manufacturer under the so called two year warranty.
Summary: Best headphones I have ever had ,even better than my Bose headphones and half the price I can walk anywhere around the house even in the garden while listening to music . As I appear to be going slightly deaf I was always listening to the television on high volume (so Her Indoors informs me) now she...
Summary: I bought the Sennheisser RS 170 with additional headphone HDR 170 so that my wife and I could both enjoy better clarity hearing on TV. This was to replace the HDR 140 I had. With the previous HDR 140 you could leave the room and still hear the TV. With the HDR 170 you cannot.

Summary: I'm no audiophile but these babies are the bees knees as far as I'm concerned. I bought them so my long suffering wife doesn't have to listen to what she describes as a swarm of disgruntled wasps in a drum. You and I know it as Formula 1.

Summary: As a long term Sennheiser fan I tried these 'phones for myself, after some lengthy research, and can confirm that they are excellent. As soon as I started listening to a film using the surround setting I was hooked, and yes I "listened" to the film.
Summary: I've had the RS130's and were very good But i bought The 170's and ...wow! Crystal clear sound no hiss at all The only gripe is that the buttons on the headset are tiny and sooooo close together why were they designed like this?
Summary: I've been using a pair of AKG pro phones for probably 30 years now and finally decided to change so that I can watch TV while the wife is in bed without having to sit in the only seat in range of the cable.
