Summary: As an avid work-out enthusiast in my garage gym I thought I would try wireless headphones so I could listen to music or watch movies while I exercised, which spares my family the sound of loud music coming from the garage and enables me to hear all the sounds over the noise of a teadmill. Thus far the RS140's have performed admirably without any glitches. They sound OK though as an audiophile I could wish for a higher end performance.
Summary: I bought these for my young 40-ish husband, who has suffered a 30% hearing loss after undergoing chemotherapy. He wasn't happy about my surprise birthday gift...the box sat untouched for 2 weeks before he actually opened it. I thought I was going to have to send them back but he reluctantly tried them out and has been happily using them ever since. He says they're very comfortable to wear and the audio is crystal clear.
Summary: I'm a little disappointed in the audio reception. The product is advertised to have a 300' range. While walking about, I am never more than 100' away and the reception breaks up. When stationary, it's better, although will still break up at times. Audio quality is good but not as good as hardwired.
Bought them for someone hard of hearing - really impressed with them.

Excerpt: My Dad is hard of hearing, so he uses headphones to watch TV. So only reviewing them for this purpose. Anyway, he wanted some new wireless ones for his birthday (previously having some Philips SBCHC8850). The Sennheiser RS 140 Headphones are closed back - which basically means you can't hear any outside noise; and other people can't much (if any) noise coming from the headphones. This was the main reason we chose this model.
Summary: I am kinda surprised its not quite as great as I was lead to believe, still better than an average 20-80$ wireless head set. Sound Quality Sound qaulity is about 80% as sharp/deep as plugging a moderate pair of headphones directly into your device. Solid sound with good volume control.
Excerpt: "After angling for a pair of these for my birthday, my luck was in on the day when I unwrapped my wife's present to find these staring back at me! As you'd expect with Sennheiser, the build quality is good. The base unit is well-designed and sturdy, with a couple of switches discreetly positioned at the bottom. The headphones are also well-built and comfortable, resting elegantly on the base unit's cradle to receive their charge. (The unit comes ...
Pros: Great build quality, nice sound output
Cons: Noticeable drop - off in sound quality if you leave the room
Excerpt: "...cans i came across the Sennheiser RS range and being Sennheiser i expected great things. but i wasnt blown away by these headphones. Dnt get me wrong as usual with Sennheiser these are the best wireless headphones about that your not going to pay ridiculous money for. But as far as wireless headphones go, i've yet to try a convincing pair in the £50-£100 price range. I recomend that if you are looking for headphones to listen to T.V, Films etc, then ...
Pros: very comfortable, look good .
Cons: Average sound unless matched with a decent system .
